Her days passed like a whirlwind of emotions. She can't possibly think straight because of what's happening on her body or maybe, even on her health.

She loves her father dearly, she loves all the memories they spent even at the times where he is no longer a father material for her. She always be thankful that she is a fruit of love by her parents but having a sams fate as her father is too much for her.

She wants to have a family of her own, she wants to have a degree, she wants to have a better work for her mom to just rest.

"Rei," she stopped midway as she saw Jace who is looking exhausted.

She smiled to hide the bitterness that is slowly swallowing her. She can't just drag people down together with her.

She can't meddle with his life, now. Maybe on this life time. She can't meddle with him when she's still studying on her senior high because she wants her dignity and respect for herself back and now, she can't just drag him down especially now that she knows Jace's stand at the university.

She's done in that thought.

Her smile is a mirror of what she truly feels. She knows that. But instead, she tried to hide the bitterness using a beam on her face.

"How's your day?" she asked.

Jace shrugged his shoulders before he finally settling down in front of her. She gave her tumbler to him.

"Good.

She took a deep breath, making him creased his forehead.

"I think its for the better if you stop doing this," mahina man ay sinigurado niyang malinaw ang kanyang sinabi.

"Huh?"

She looked at him and shook her head while wearing the most beautiful accessory of a woman, her smile. "Parang hindi na kasi nagiging fair.  Yes, we will have a different set of questions in the entrance exam but I will have a hunch on what topic we will have based on the reviewers you give me."

Jace, her friend, wants to help her to get in her father's dream university and here she was, declining his help.

Well, she can't accept his help knowing that his stand in that university is on rocks.

"Rei, what do you mean?" he asked, parang pinipigilan pa ang hininga na makalikha ng tunong. That's why I don't understand why you are now declining my help."
