"Miss Ventura, can you lend me your time?" when the dismissal of their P. E time, her prof asked her a little time that she acknowledged.

She watched how he massaged his temples as he sat on his chair.

"You are a good student, Miss Ventura but your grades on your subjects don't rely on just that. You also have my subject that you take easy. You are putting my subject below of your priorities. I know that physical education is not major enough to have your time but remember this subject can failed you. This subject itself may be greatest downfall as a student."

She slapped herself as she looked at herself on the mirror. She always think that it is just a hinder, a type of hardship that student like her needs to pass through before ger graduation.

What happened?" Jace asked as they stopped on the jeepney stop.

She was biting the chocolate bar while looking for a jeep that has a space for two.

"Huy!" the slight peck on her hands woke her up from being coward. Coward to face that she might failed on her last step to reached her father's dream course for her.

"Sabi ni Mister Dela Cruz, pwede raw ako bumagsak sa PE class niya," she smiled, never wanting to have a serious talked right now, kasi hindi niya alam kung paano kakalmahin ang sarili niya sa lahat ng narinig.

She laughed and treated that as a joke. Well, she can't think straight when the reality will hit her so hard that she can't graduate.

They did everything for her to enroll in not private yet good institution but she is the problem.

"You can even enroll in summer class." He captured her hand and gently caressed it while his eyes never leave hers.

She knows that she can do good. She knows that she can do even better than last grading but no, she keeps giving her mother a promises that she can't keep.

She promised her father that she will graduate on time, she will help her mother to be in better shape. She promised him that, but her being retaking student is very out of her league when her father is still around.

"Oo nga," she said. "Papasa ako, hahabol ako."

She is hesitant to say that but she know that she must kasi sa kalagayan ni Jace sa relasyon na mayroon sila, alam niya na kapag nagpakita siya ng kahinaan ng loob ay ititigil nito ang pagtakbo at gagabayan siya para sabay nilang maabot ang pangarap nilang dalawa.

Jace caressed her hair and slightly ruffled it until his phone rang.

Jace answered the phone while his eyes are still on her.
