Chapter 40

Once they found out that Sam was being drugged by Becky because she was being played by a crossroads demon they made a plan to stop him from hurting others. He was also behind the other deaths that happened in the town.

Dean quickly made sure to let Nova know what was happening and that Sam wasn't actually moving on from her that fast. He suggested she go with them to capture this demon and she was reluctant to go but he told her she needed to go because they needed to talk this out after they were done. She finally gave in and went with them.

They set everything up and hid as Becky waited for him to show up. As soon as he did she lit a zippo, dropping it on the ground in his feet and a devils trap showed up. She quickly ran over to the doorway as, Dean, Nova, Garth and Sam stepped out.

Becky was so proud of herself boasting but quickly stopped talking when they just stared at her.

After everything was done, the demon deals were off and everyone, well humans, was safe. Dean wanted to kill the guy himself but Crowley convince him not, that he would take care of the guy himself.

They then went back to Becky's to sign the annulment papers to end the marriage of Becky and Sam. Sam was the first one to sign the papers.

"It wasn't all bad right?" Becky gave a reassuring smile but sighed when Sam just stared at her.

"Okay, you did save my life and for that, thanks."

"So, I'll see you again?" Becky had high hopes.

"Yeah probably not."

Becky sighed and finally signed the papers but looked upset.

Sam looked at her and rubbed his forehead, "Becky, look. You're not a loser okay? You're a good person. " Which caused an eye roll from both Nova and Dean, "And you've got a lot of... energy. So you know just do your thing, whatever that is, and the right guy will find you.

Just then Garth smiles at Becky and rubs his hair down more, Becky gives him a smile back then he looks at Dean.

Dean looks at Garth and have him a small shake of the head, "No."

Sam then grabs the papers and walks over to them.

Dean clears his throat, "Before we leave, I think someone deserves an apology. " He motions his head to Nova who was turning and heading for the door.

She didn't understand why she needed to be there in the first place. It took Becky a second to get it but once she did she spoke up.

"Nova wait." She rushes over to her, "I'm sorry I did what I did. I shouldn't have done it, I just, I only took in my own feelings and no one else's especially yours and that was wrong of me. I mean everyone knows it's you and Sam who belong together. It's been like that for years, even with your guys...disagreements. So will you please forgive me?"

Nova let out a small sigh and gave her a sympathy smile, "As much as this pains me to say this but I forgive you."

Becky smiles at her, "Awesome, thank you."

They said their goodbyes then went outside. Sam and Dean was leaning against the back end of the car when Garth walked up to them.

"Well buddy, I got to say, man, you uh you don't suck." Dean tapped Garths shoulder.

Garth chuckled, "Thank you. That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me. Well..." Garth hugged Dean making him grunt.

Nova held her fingers to her mouth to stifle laughter.

"Yeah." Dean chuckles, "All right that's... thank you. " Garth let's go and walks away, "Take care. Wow."

"Awe." Nova cooed.

"Awe, you made a friend." Sam smirked.

"Nuh uh." Dean shook his head.

Sam cleared his throat, "When I was all dosed up I-I said some crap."

"Oh you mean she-- she wasn't your soulmate?" Dean said sarcastically.

"Shut up. I mean, I do need you watching my back. Obviously. "

"Yeah when crazy groupies attack. "

"You know what I mean."

"You know, I got to say man. For a whack job you really pulled it together. "

"That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me. " Sam said sarcastically then chuckled, "Don't be too impressed man. It's still a Denver scramble up here. I just know my way around my plate now."

"I'm just saying. It's stupid you need me around all the time. You're a grown-up." Dean looks at Nova who was staring at the ground with her arms crossed. "Enough to me though. " He nudge Sam then motioned his head towards her. "Something else you need to take care of." With that he got into the car.

Sam stepped in front of her, put her finger under chin and made her look at him.

"Hmm?"

"Nova, I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything. For what happened back at Bobby's before we went our separate ways and especially for this." He motioned his head towards the building. "You are the one I truly love. The things I said at that chapel, I didn't mean them towards her."

"I know Sam." She sighs, "And you are the one I love, I can't help it to worry about you all the time because of everything that's happened with you. I know you can take care of yourself but that's part of who I am."

"I know. " He nods, "And I wasn't mad at you for that, trust me. I was just mad because of what Dean did and I made a stupid mistake and took it out on you. Please forgive me."

She smiles up at him, "Of course I forgive you."

He smiles back "Good."

They then start kissing, but as soon as Dean noticed he honked the horn making them both chuckle into the kiss. Nova didn't break away from the kiss but just reached her arm out and flipped him off through the back window.

He honked again so they broke the kiss.

"You know he's going to keep doing that until we get in."

"I know. " She giggled and they climbed in, "So why are you driving this? I know baby is in lock down but there's a better car that we could be in than.... than this unfinished paint job, my car looks way better."

"Yeah, yeah shut your cakehole, this was what was available."

"I prefer pie honestly. " Nova smirked, "Well my Nova is available, it's at Bobby's. Let's go get it."

"Sounds like a good plan." Sam nodded.

"So was the whole, having a car with the same name as you a long time plan? "

"Yeah uh." Nova nodded, she went on to explain how her dad wanted to get her a graduating present and she told him that's exactly what she wanted so he got it for her.
