"Hey sorry about that! Ready to head out?" He asks with confusion spread across his face, clearly seeing I was flustered but didn't ask further questions.
"Uh, yes. Yes, let's go baby." I said while scrunching my nose.
"Hah, there you go again with the nose scrunch. Let's go Thumper." He grabbed my hand and walked me up the stairs, finally heading out for our adventure.
It was a little chilly so his leather seats felt like ice against my exposed legs. He turned on the heated seat for me and laughed at the fact that I knew it was going to be cold and yet still chose to leave the house in a summer dress.
"Listen here mister, I'm trying to look cute for you dammit!" I snickered at him.
"Mhmmm."
I didn't even know where we were headed, he told me it was a surprise so I was just enjoying the ride.
We drove further into the city, watching the city lights dance across the car as we drove by. We found party and hopped out the car.
"So...where exactly are we going? I asked him.
"Well, I was thinking we could walk around the city and see if we could find a place to get drinks??"
"Ooo, okay, I like that idea!"
We walked around with my hand in his, enjoying our walk together regardless of how cold it was. We stopped at a corner and I noticed that at this point Andrew had no idea where we were.
"Baby do you know where we are?" I asked while laughing at him.
"Pshh yes yes of course...we go...this way! Don't worry, we aren't lost."
"Hey I'm just following you, you know the city more than I. Plus, I would totally be okay getting lost with you." I said as I squeezed his hand tighter and held on to his arm.
We walked down the streets for an hour, looking at all the different bars, deciding which one would be fun for tonight. After looking at a few we stumbled upon this one that caught our eye because dogs were welcomed inside. I mean, being able to sit and enjoy a drink while having dogs around you?? What more could you ask for really.
We walked inside and I instantly loved it. Everything was decorated perfectly to fit the vibe that they were going for.
For starters they had plants hung everywhere, which you can never go wrong with, I feel like I'd be that crazy plant lady when I get my own place. They had artwork of all kinds of styles nailed to the walls, fitting well with the random paint splatters splashed everywhere. There was furniture of all styles, ranging from lawn chairs to floral velvet couches. The menu is written in chalk on a giant chalk board plastered behind the bar wall. It felt like the kind of place that you would want to relax at after a long days work or having a weekend out with friends. No matter the occasion, this was the place.
Not to mention...the dogs. I really can't stress that enough.
We grazed over the menu and decided on a long island ice tea and a mulled cherry apple cider and brandy. They were made right in front of us and were ready in under a minute.
We found a table to sit at to enjoy our drinks while I looked around, admiring the place. We both got just as equally excited whenever a dog came in, tapping each other on the shoulder and squealing as we watched the dogs get so excited because we'd give them all the attention.
Him and I laughed and talked about all sorts of things, just enjoying each others company.
"Do you want to head out soon? I was thinking we could go to this really yummy restaurant just down the road for my house. We can have dinner and a few more drinks there?" He asked me with a smile.
"Oh that sounds lovely actually!"
We finished our drinks and walked back to the car. He only drank one glass because he had to drive us home but I downed 2 of those delicious ice teas. Like I've said before, I'm quite a lightweight, so even two drinks got me pretty tipsy. I couldn't stop laughing at everything Andrew was saying, whether it was funny or not I just couldn't help it. At some points I started laughing so hard that I almost dropped to the ground, leaving him to take care of me and hold me up so I didn't hurt myself.
I was having such a fun night so far, and this was only the beginning.
After getting home I ran downstairs to change out of this dress and into something more comfortable. Black crop top, low waisted black sweats and high waisted black lacey thongs. If you couldn't tell, black clothing was my favorite and what I felt most comfortable in. It gave me that bad bitch energy.
I came back upstairs and he was waiting patiently for me.
"Alright, let's head out!"
And off we went again.
It was only a 10 minute walk, but I wished it was longer to be honest, I just love going on late night walks with him that lasted for hours on end.
