"There have been no sightings, no deaths, no proof"

"He almost killed Harry, if that isn't proof enough..."

"Yes, but guarding you-know-what is most important!"

"We must trust Dumbledore on this"

"Was he able to protect Harry last year? Well, tonight I say it's time to take action."

"Cornelius Fudge is a politician first and a wizard second. His instinct would be to ignore it-"

"Keep your voices down!"

"He's getting stronger and stronger by the minute we have to act now!"

Everyone looked up towards the door. Those who had left now returned, so I imagined it was Harry in the hallway. Mrs. Weasley getting up to greet him, then closing the door confirmed that.

We all paused for a moment before continuing.

"Look acting now is not in our best interest on any front, Sirius. Fudge would blame us assuming we're the ones left within the damage done, and we don't know what Voldemort is planning, we don't know what he already has." I spoke up. Up until now, I had remained fairly dormant in the conversation.

I was sat next to Severus, quite closely actually, though the room was full. Besides from the sides of our legs touching there was no contact.

"I have to agree with Y/N, here," Remus said.

"I have a feeling the Ministry will start having some sort of interference here as well. Fudge won't publically address this but he'll do something to make sure we stay quiet." Mr. Weasley said.

"I think that the first plan of action is to ensure that the hearing goes well. As long as we can ensure Harry's presence at Hogwarts, he's already much safer than anyone else."

"Again, how well was Dumbledore able to protect him last year? Or you, Severus?" Sirius seemed to be on the offensive here and it was hard to talk him down, though I always seemed to be the one who tried.

"That's different. I'll be able to provide protection as a teacher as well. Last year we didn't know the severity of the situation, now we do." I argued.

"Yes, now that it's too late." Sirius sighed.

"Well, what about the prophecy?" Tonks asked.

"What prophecy?" I inquired.

"It's about Harry and you-know-who."

"We're not telling Harry." Mrs. Weasley said.

"If anyone has a right to know it's Harry. If it wasn't for Harry we wouldn't even know Voldemort was back. He's not a child, Molly." Sirius said.

"But he's not an adult either! He's not James, Sirius!" Molly argued.

"Well, he's not your son."

"He's as good as. Who else has he got?"

"Well, he's got me."

"How touchingly paternal, Black, perhaps Potter will grow up to be a fellon just like his godfather," Severus said from beside me, and I nudged him.

Severus had told me all about what the four boys had done to him during their time at Hogwarts. It helped me understand his occasional aggression towards Harry, Sirius, and Remus. It also was how I found out that the man with the hunch was Wormtail. Having names to faces greatly helped me.

"You stay out of this Snivillus. I don't care what Dumbledore says about your supposed reformation, I know better." Sirius said. I took a deep sigh and sat back.
