I sat on the train anxiously. Again I watched as other students went onto the train through the window. My leg bounced up and down as I played with my fingers.

"'Hello Severus'... no that's not good. 'Its good to see you again Professor', could be better..." I sighed and put my head back against the seat.

There was a knock on my window and I  sat up, furrowing my eyes. I saw F/N on the other side repeat tree edly knocking and trying to get my attention.

"I see you, ya loony. Get in here." I said, waving for them to enter. F/N slid open the compartment door and closed it behind them. They say down across from me.

"So um, you're alive."

"I am." I nodded looking them over. It felt like we were strangers again. I felt the train jolt and looked out my window to see we were rolling out of the station.

"So... what happened to you?" They asked, pulling my attention back.

I shrugged my shoulders and pursed my lips, bit knowing what answer to give. "It doesnt really matter. I'm okay now."

"So you're not going to go MIA this year?"

"I dont know. People are... peopley. I kind of like being alone." I shrugged again.

F/N made a face at me, one that showed betrayal and disapproval. "So what, you dont want to be friends anymore?"

"That's not what I said."

"That's what it sounded like." They raised an eyebrow at me and I threw my hands up in defense.

"I dont know what you want from me. An apology? Appraise? I'm not the same person you were friends with for five years. Shit happened, I grew up." I explained in a somewhat hostile way.

F/N just shook their head and got up, slamming the compartment door shut behind them. I looked out the widow at the rolling green hills around us. Something moved out if the corner of my eye and when I looked to see what it was it was a.... flying blue car?

"What the fu...."

I sat in the self-pulling carriage on my own, until another weight joined in. I looked across from me and saw a man with a flashy blue suit and curly blonde hair. He looked at me with an over exaggerated smile.

"Magnificent isnt it, the castle." He said to me. I looked the man over and surely my expression showed discomfort. I knew this man from somewhere but couldnt imagine where.

"Yeah." I said as I tried to shuffle away and create some distance.

"Heavens me! You must not know who I am! I'm Gilderoy Lockheart! Adventurer, author, and charmer." He offered me a hand to shake, but I didnt take it. "I'll be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher this year."

"How pleasant." I gave a sarcastic smile as the carriage started moving. My face fell again once we did.

"You know, you are a very beautiful young lady. Seventh year I presume? You'll be an adult soon!" He said, his flamboyant nature making me uncomfortable, as well as the comments he was making.

"Yes, which means I can handle myself quite well against any creeps." I threatened him very subtly. His face went white and he cleared his throat.

"Well, it's nice to see a woman like yourself have such confidence. Reminds me of myself you know..." I let him trail on as he talked about himself. I didnt listen to anything and just stared off.

Eventually we got to the castle and made our way into the Great Hall. It was uncomfortable to have to walk in with Lockheart as if we were friends, but I didn't have much choice. The minute I got in I looked to the teachers table and saw Snape, he was looking in my direction but not at me.
