The evening after, Severus explained to me everything about the Tournament. I had spoken to Dumbledore once, not long enough to bring anything up to about my plans. I was allowed free roam of the castle, and I could leave and return at my own will, which meant I wasn't trapped here.

I walked through the hall with Harry and his friend Ron. We met by accident, and he offered for me to join them and I didn't mind.

"So, you're here for the Tri-Wizard Tournament?" Ron asked me.

"I am, I already know what you're thinking Harry. Strange circumstances that I'm here again, right?" I say looking down at the smaller boy.

"It is. But Dumbledore trusts you, so I do too." We turned the corner and walked into the Great Hall.

"Thank you, Harry," I said before we split paths. I stood in the corner of the Great Hall watching as students came up and put their names in the Goblet, and other students cheered them on.

I look back over to the door and watch as the Weasley twins walked in with a suspicious bottle in each of their hands.

"Ready Fred?" George said.

"Ready George?" Fred said. They hooked arms and downed whatever was in the bottles, then hopped over the age line that Dumbledore had drawn. Must be an aging potion.

They put their names into the Goblet and a few people throughout the room gave them praise for their plan working. A couple of seconds passed and the blue flames of the goblet turned red. The two boys were launched out of the line and already on the floor, they began to rumble together. The funny part was that their hair had turned grey and their skin wrinkled from the effects of the potion.

After the two boys separated Viktor Krum walked in, tall and brooding as always, and put his name into the Goblet. I couldn't help but chuckle.

If I had still been a student I would have put my name in, but alas I wasn't. But there was still the curiosity of what would happen if I did put my name in. With I just be flung like Fred and George was or would it accept my name? Then that causes a problem if I were by chance selected.

On Thursday night everyone had gathered to watch the names be drawn from the goblet. I stood in the corner of the room away from the students.

"Sit down please," Dumbledore announced and the remaining student standing had sat. "Now the moment we have all been waiting for, the champion selection!" Dumbledore dimmed out the torches in the room and everyone quieted entirely.

Dumbledore approached the goblet and the flames shot red. A piece of parchment came out and the flames returned to blue. Dumbledore caught the floating parchment in the air and looked at it.

"The Dumstrang champion is... Viktor Krum!" The Great Hall cheered as Krum made his way to Dumbledore, grabbed the parchment, and went to the other side of the Hall. The flames shot red again and another parchment game off, Dumbledore had caught that one too.

"The champion from Beauxbatons, Fleur Delacour!" The last name came out and was announced too. "The Hogwarts champion, Cedric Diggory!" The Hall once again cheered along with me. Cedric went along like the other two champions, claiming his parchment and returning to the other side of the Great Hall.

"Excellent! We now have our three champions! But only one will go down in history. Only one will have the chalice of champions, only one will carry the vessel of victory, the Tr-Wizard cup!" Everyone starts to cheer but it almost immediately dies out as the Goblet of Fire starts going red again. It flares out wildly as it spits another name out. Dumbledore reluctantly catches it.

"Harry Potter...?" He looks up and people begin murmuring. "Harry Potter," he calls again. "Harry Potter!" He yells out and the room goes quiet. Without another word exchanged, Harry Potter goes up to Dumbledore, grabs his parchment, and goes to the other side of the room. The tension is thick and the room is silent, besides the fire in the goblet which is still red and going wild.

Eyes are either on Harry or on the Goblet. Something else comes out of the goblet. I approach and take the paper from the air. I look up towards Dumbledore, who was walking towards me. I handed him the paper, afraid to voice what I had read.

"Y/N Lestrange...." he said, just projecting his voice loud enough for all to hear.

I looked to the corner of the room and caught Severus' gaze. He looked scared.

The champions and myself were sent into Dumbledore's office while the teachers and Crouch gathered out in the hall.

"Harry," I was the first to break the silence, "Did you put your name in the Goblet?" I said calmly.

"No, I didn't." He responded.

"Neither did I," I spoke.

"How do we know you didn't put both of your names in?" Krum said. I shrugged. He was right, there was no way of knowing besides my own word, and the only people who would believe that are myself and Severus. Maybe Dumbledore.

"Harry! Harry!" Dumbledore said to the boy as he ran at him. He grabbed Harry by the collar. "Did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?!" He said in a very not calm manner.

"No sir," Harry said seeming panicked.

"Did you ask one of the older students to do it for you?!"

"No sir."

"Are you absolutely sure?"

"Yes sir."

"Well of course he is lying." A large French woman said as she walked in. I took a step back from everything and just watched awkwardly.

"The hell he is! The Goblet of Fire is an exceptionally powerful magical object, only an exceptionally powerful confundus charm could have hoodwinked it. Way beyond the magical talents of a fourth year." Moody said.

"You seem to have given it a lot of thought, "Mad-eye."" Karkaroff was quick to say.

"It was once my job to think as dark wizards Karkaroff, perhaps you remember it."

"It doesn't help Alistor!" Dumbledore grumbled.

"And you! Who even are you? Why did you put your name in the Goblet?" Karkaroff approached me in a hostile manner. I wasnt scared of him, but I was just as confused as anyone else.

"I was invited by S-" I decided that perhaps this may not be the time nir the company to give anything away, something was definitely up. "I was invited by Dumbledore."

I glanced at Dumbledore, he seemed to have caught on.

"Are you not a former student?" Hand-Eye questioned me. I feared I was left to fend for myself.

"I am but why would I put my name in the Goblet?"

"Glory," Karkaroff noted.

"Hasn't she already gotten enough attention for exposing her family?" The tall woman said.

"That's enough!" Dumbledore interrupted. "It doesn't matter now."

"The rules are absolute. The Goblet of Fire constitutes a binding magical contract. Mr. Potter and Mrs... Lestrange have no choice." Crouch said, and we all put our attention on him. "They are, as of tonight, Tri-Wizard Champions."
