" What were you doing just now? "
As soon as I heard Haechan's voice, I knew it was the end of my eavesdropping session.
Well, fuck it.
" Eavesdropping aren't we? " Should I turn around and talk? Or should I just run the hell out of here? But neither of these options would make it better right?
" What? I—Iwas just here to get my phone, you see i left it— " I said as I turned to him but I didn't expect him to be so close.
" You didn't hear anything right? " he said, the close proximity between us is making it hard for me to answer him.
" No—I didn't hear anything—surely. " I answered, chuckling nervously. I forgot I should be mad at him right now.
Stepping back, I told him I should probably get my phone since Renjun would be waiting. He just stared at me and didn't didn't reply.
There was an awkward silence between us so I spoked to lessen the tension.
" I saw Mark leaving earlier, did—did you guys talk? " I said, still nervous if his gaze. For a few seconds, he didn't answer so I spoke again.
This awkward tension is killing me seriously.
"It's not like I heard anything—or something." I nervously rambled. I was hoping he wouldn't notice my uneasiness.
"Oh, Really?" Haechan said, smirking.
" Well, we talked about something. " He added.
I couldn't stop my curiosity so I asked him.
" What did you guys talk about? " he looked amused at my question for no reason but still answered.
" I confessed to him, why? Are you jealous? " he said smirking.
I recalled what they talking about earlier. It didn't seem like a confession though.
" What? No! I'm not—jealous. " I cringed saying the word. Besides I don't care if he conffesed or whatever, I'll make sure I wouldn't get affected.
" Oh Really? You wouldn't get jealous? " he said, I was confused with his tone because he sounded like he was teasing me. If he likes Mark, he wouldn't tease me about it right?.
" Why are you waiting for Renjun by the way? " he said changing the topic.
" We're walking home together, Jisung and the others left. " I was shocked that we were conversing like the normal way we would always do. I missed this actually, the normal Heachan I mean.
" I'm going with you. " he replied abruptly.
" Huh?—Oh, okay." I remembered Mark and wondered if he already left.
" Shouldn't we—you know ask Mark if he's walking with us? " I asked him.
His face turned blank before speaking. " He's busy I guess. " he replied nonchalantly.
" Let's just go now. " he added.
I was about to tell him Renjun's coming with us too, but what he said made me stunned.
He was facing me now, giving me that look again. The same look he would give me if he was upset about something.
" You wouldn't choose him over me right? "
