"What irony is this? So the daughter of the feared Sandman is helping a hero like him. Even after all his family did to you?"

"What?"

Dazed, I licked my lips, croaking. "Penelope doesn't listen to him... Run."

"He didn't tell you?" The Green Goblin said, shocked, before cackling again. "Typical hero, always keeping the truth from others when it best suits them! Penelope, my dear, this boy is the Nephew of the man who sent your father to his grave. His Uncle was the infamous hero Ben Parker!"

Penelope dropped her arms down to her side, eyes widened. She looked over her shoulder at me, devasted. "Is that true? Y/N, don't tell me that's true..."

"Penelope... I, I'm sorry."

"You lied to me... You, you tricked me."

"No, don't listen to him. I didn't mean to."

The Green Goblin stood over me as the other four villains approached, all towering over me. "This here is my Sinister Six. My Sinister Six reborn."

I felt defeated before the battle even began. I lost almost all motivation to continue. If it wasn't for Ashido, I might be dead right now. Kicking the door down, Ashido dragged me through the school building calling out. "Is anyone there?! Hello! I need help; Y/N is hurt bad! Hello!"

Ashido quickly scouted the floor, coming back devasted. "They're gone. Damn it! We can't stay here; if we keep moving, maybe we'll run into Class B instead?"

"Save yourself," I whisper, head hung low. "It's pointless."

Ashido looked horrified, kneeling and pressing down on my wounds. "Don't say stupid things like that. We're both getting through this together; you hear me, young man?! So why would you say something like that?"

"It's him, Mina... It's the monster that haunts my dreams. The Green Goblin, he's the one who killed my Uncle Ben."

"Oh... Oh, Y/N." She whispered, helping me up. "More of a reason to fight. We can't let this bastard take you down. Don't you want justice for what happened to him?"

I was on the verge of breaking down; everything felt so pointless. "What's the point anymore?"

"Hey, hey! Listen to me. You have a quirk, one that can save lives. You may not see it, Y/N but God damn it am I going to remind you! You've touched so many lives and saved many more. Without you, families would have been torn apart. Parents take from their children. You prevented that; you did. You have the power to fight. But, with great power comes great responsibility. Don't let that Goblin change that!"

I flinched hearing those words. She was right. I didn't like to admit it, but she was right.

"Y/N!" Penelope screamed, kicking the door down. We quickly darted behind cover as she came storming in furious. "Where are you?!"

Coughing, I shouted back. "I'm sorry, kid! I should have told you; I didn't know when the moment was right."

"Always excuses with heroes like you! You led me on, tricked me into believing your cause! How dare you!"

Not wanting to run from her anymore, I came out holding my hand up, nodding. "You're angry; I get that. Of course, you have every right to be Penelope, I didn't tell you, and that was wrong, but please, you don't have to do this. Don't become the cruel-hearted villain everyone made out your father to be. You can prove everyone wrong!"

"Liar!" The Green Goblin shouted, standing at the entrance. "He's trying to deceive you like he deceives so many others. If he had it his way, Y/N Parker would have never told anyone he's Spider-Man. How long was he going to keep the truth from you? All he does is manipulate you again and again."
