The night sky lit up like a hellish fireworks display as a BOOM ripped through downtown, an entire office block erupting in flame and twisted steel. Glass rained down onto the streets as people screamed, scattering like ants, chaos swallowing every corner of the block. Cars crashed, alarms wailed, and the city descended into pandemonium.

"Oh, the destruction! The despair! Civilisation brought to its knees in mere moments! Children cry, shopkeepers weep, dogs bark without mercy! Oh, WHO will save us now?!"

The camera panned across terrified civilians, then swivelled dramatically to the other side of the wreckage, where several pro heroes burst onto the scene.

"There she is!" one shouted, pointing toward the burning tower. "Your days of smearing good people's names through the mud for clicks is over!"

"Yeah!" another added, fists sparking with power. "We'll put an end to this circus, once and for all!"

"Hold that thought!" the voice purred.

The heroes charged forward, only for the sidewalk beneath them to explode, sending two pros flying backwards into a stack of dumpsters. Another landed a foot away from the target, swinging her fists with precision, before a set of hidden sonic emitters shrieked at maximum decibel. The pro howled, clutching her ears, collapsing to the pavement.

"Ohh noooo," the voice sang mockingly. "It seems your precious heroes have fallen prey... to my gimmicks! How delightfully tragic! Who, oh WHO, could possibly save us now?!"

A final pro leapt through the smoke, ducking and weaving past sparks and falling rubble. He roared, "I'll stop you right here—!"

FOOMP.

He dropped straight through what looked like solid ground, the illusion dispersing as he plummeted into a pitfall lined with purple foam. Netting snapped shut around him, yanking him upside down like a fish on a line.

"Ahhhhahahaha! Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! Did you get that, chat? Oh, I know you did!"

From behind a stack of smouldering crates, the figure hopped into frame. A girl in a garish one-piece spandex, plastered with clashing sponsorship logos: cheap energy drinks, a suspicious-sounding crypto wallet, Raid Shadow Legends, Better Help and front and centre, G-Fuel.

She spun on her heel, waving both arms toward the camera drone hovering nearby. Her helmet, an old biker's cap, spray-painted white and purple, tilted as she gave the audience a cheeky salute.

"Two hundred new followers in the last five minutes?! Stopppp, you're embarrassing me!" she giggled, then leaned close to the lens. "No, no, don't stop. Never stop. Shower me in your love! Bathe me in your attention!"

A defeated pro groaned nearby. She ignored him.

The hero who'd been netted growled, straining against the ropes. "You... you're nothing but a fraud!"

"Ohhh, sweetie," she laughed, wagging a finger. "That wasn't even me. That was her!"

The hologram of herself fizzled into view across the street, giving a cheeky peace sign before glitching out. The real girl was perched high above, cross-legged on a rooftop billboard, watching her own chaos like a fireworks show.

The camera drone zoomed in on her faceplate as she stretched her arms wide. "You've all been waiting for it, and here I am, live and uncut! The one, the only, your FAVORITE content queen of carnage... SCREWBALL!"

She kicked her legs playfully, giggling as her overlay ticker popped up on-screen. Subscribers: 997,893.

"Ooooh, so close to that big 1 million, chat! And you know what that means!" She pointed at the camera, voice dripping with glee. "That's right, a HUGE collab stream coming your way! So keep smashing that subscribe button for your girl Screwball, because the best is yet to come!"
