It's been over a month and Liam was still gone. Everyone else returned, except him. He got separated from everyone else within the first week of the run.
I was at the infirmary after I took a pregnancy test and it came up positive. "So, is it Alex or Liam's?" Larissa asked.
"It's a mystery." I said. "I think Liam's, but I'm not sure."
"The guys picked a ton of prenatal vitamins up on the last raid for Carly. I'm sure there is plenty for both of you." She said.
Alex was talking to the captain when I walked over. "Mel, we're putting together a team to go search for Liam." Alex said.
"So both of you will be out there potentially go missing or get killed?" I said.
"Mel, I'm the best tracker here with Liam gone." He said. I went home and slammed the bedroom door. I was sitting on the floor when Alex came in. "Mel, both of us will come back." He said.
"I'm pregnant." I said wiping my tears on the back of my hand. He sat down in front of me.
"Mel, I promise. We will be back before you even get a chance to miss me." He said. "Liam will be back and be perfectly fine. He probably just saw something shiny." He joked. I looked at him. "It's Liam's right?" I nodded. Alex and I didn't do it very often after Liam went on the run. "All the more reason to go find Liam." He said.
"I want to go with." I said.
"No. Absolutely not." He said. "Rachel and Riley need their mom and Liam would kill me if I allowed you to go with. You didn't go on runs when you were pregnant with Riley and Rachel, it's not happening Mel." He said.
"When do you have to go?" I asked.
"We leave at dawn. Tomorrow morning." He said.
"Do I get a proper goodbye?" I asked which made him smile.
"I need my fill to tie me over until we get back." He said and I climbed into his lap, his hands slid over my back as I kissed him. I leaned my forehead against his, my nose brushed his.
"Alex?" I said.
"Yeah?" He asked quietly.
"I don't want to rush." I said. "I want to take our time." I said sliding my hands over the back of his neck.
"Yes ma'am." He said.
----Liam
I made it back to the compound solo. A light shined down on me and I put my hand up blocking it from my eyes. "Liam?"
"Do you mind?" I asked. The gate opened and I walked in. They shut the gate.
"Are you hurt?" Cam asked.
"Just hungry and tired." I said. I saw Melinda outside with Rachel and Riley. Alex saw me by the gate. He said something to Mel and she stood up and saw me. She brushed off and ran toward me. I caught her in a hug lifting her off her feet.

His face pressed into my neck. He set me on my feet and pulled away. "The guys were going to go out looking for you." I said.
"Saved the trip." He said giving me a soft kiss.
"Liam." I said he looked at me.
"What's wrong Mels?" He asked.
"Nothing. Um, I'm pregnant." I said.
"Really?" He asked with a smile.
"Yeah. I'm like 95 percent sure it's yours." I said. He hugged me again.
He walked with me back to the house. "Saved you guys a trip." He said.
"All the better. Mel was worried that we would both disappear." Alex said.
"Awe, she loves us." Liam said.
"I just don't think children should grow up without a dad." I said.
