Rachel and Riley were four months old and they started to look like Alex.  I was holding Riley on my hip while Alex was holding Rachel.  Liam walked over after being on the wall.

Riley reached for Liam,  "Hey buddy."  Liam took him.  "You aren't as funny looking as your dad."  I hit Liam's arm and he laughed.

They figured it out on their own.  I didn't have to tell them.  They were great dads and Rachel and Riley loved them.

"Hey Mel."  I turned to Larissa.  "Carly, Stace, and I are going to the next town over.  Do you want to go with?"  I looked at Liam and Alex.

"No."  Alex said.

"Come on.  We will be careful.  You said yourself the town is basically clear."  I said.  "We will be back in two hours, three tops."  I said with a shrug.

"Mel."  Liam said.  I crossed my arms.  "Take your blade and a gun."

"Any problems you fire a flare."  Alex said.  I kissed my babies and my guys before going to get my stuff.

We returned that night after a run in with some guys.  The gate opened and Alex and Liam were waiting after probably pacing all day.  I got out of the car and started for the house.

"Melinda."  Alex said, he caught my arm and I flinched.  He got a look at me in the light.  "What the hell happened?"  He asked.  Liam caught up and saw.

"Let go.  You're hurting my arm."  I said with a sob.  He let go and they followed me home.  I closed the bathroom door in their face and looked at myself in the mirror.

I had a cut on my face and my back still stung from when I fell in the gravel trying to get away from the group of guys.  I unbuttoned my shirt and slid it off, the back of it was caked in blood. The door opened and Alex and Liam saw my back.

"Did they follow you back?"  Liam asked.  I shook my head.  I hugged Alex pressing my face into his neck.

He didn't mean to hurt me.  I know he felt bad.  "Liam."  Alex said.

"I'll get a first aid kit."  Liam said.  Alex was the one who calmed me when I was stressed or freaking out.  It had to deal with his demeanor.  I love Liam, but he knew made me insane.  Alex lifted me and set me on the counter.

"It's going to be okay."  Alex whispered his hands held my face.

"I want the babies in the bedroom with us."  I said quietly.

"Done.  Whatever you want."  He said.

Liam returned and while Alex cleaned the cuts on my back, Liam cleaned the gash on my face.  Liam looked down and crouched in front of me.  He held up a box of condoms.  "Hm."  He said looking at me.  Alex looked and smiled.

"Hm."  Alex said raising an eyebrow.

"It happens you both are wrapping it."  I said.

"I can do that."  Liam said.

"Me too."  Alex said before scooping me up.

Melinda was sound asleep between us.  "I'm going to go talk to the captain about what happened."  I said.

"Okay, be quiet when you come in, babies will be in here."  Liam said.  I nodded.

Morning came, I took a shower feeling the sting in the cuts on my back.  "Best view of the morning."  I looked over my shoulder and saw Liam.  I smiled.  He held up a condom. 

"Be careful."  I said and he nodded before grabbing me making me laugh.

I slid my hands through his wet hair, his lips hot against mine, my back against the cool tile wall, his movements gentle, his hand carefully tipped my head back, and his lips moved down my neck.

Alex looked up when we came downstairs.  "Get your morning exercise in?"  He teased.

"Of course.  I need my exercise session later though."  I said.  He kissed my ear.

I was sitting at the park, Rachel and Riley were laying on the blanket looking at the tree above us.  Larissa's daughter was playing on the side.  "Everything okay after last night?"  She asked.

"Yeah, they obviously want to find the men responsible, but we're okay."  I said.

I heard yelling.  I picked up Riley and Rachel.  I saw Liam running down the street then I saw Alex running toward us.  "Eve, let's go."  Alex took Riley.

"Let's go, now."  Alex said.  We ran to the underground bunker.  "Stay here until I come for you."  He said.

"Alex."  I said.

"Stay here."  He said.
