----Rachel

Tony and Blake ran in after the herd was cleaned from inside the walls.  Matt was cleaning the bullet wound in my shoulder.

"Rach."  Blake said.

"I'm fine.  Sprained ankle, gunshot wound and a slight concussion."

"Gunshot?"  Tony asked.

"It's a through and through.  Lucy shot at her while you two were moving bodies."

"What?"  Blake said.

"She claims she thought I was a walker."  I said.

Morning came, I finished taking a shower and I was trying to bandage my shoulder.  I looked up and saw Blake come in.  "Morning."  He said stepping in behind me.  He bandaged my shoulder and grabbed a wrap for my ankle.  He crouched in front of me and wrapped my ankle.

"Are you okay?"  I asked quietly.

"I heard about everything that happened last night.  It's taken everything in my power to not go take care of it myself."

"I'm fine."  I said sliding my hand over his cheek.  I slid my hand to the back of his neck, his lips met mine in a soft kiss.  He stood up and I caught his arm stopping him from walking away.

He set me on the counter and I slid my hands over the back of his neck.  "She could have killed you, you know that."

"I know, but I'm fine.  I'm here."  I said, he kissed me caressing my face with his hands.  I slid my hands down his chest to his belt.  He lifted me off the counter.

My back touched the soft sheets on the bed and I felt him slide into me.

That afternoon, mom found me at the library.  "Haven't you read all of these books by now?"

"I was supposed to go one a run today and hopefully come across more books if we had room to get more."

"I'm sure Tony will bring more books back for you."  Mom said.

"Do we know what caused the herd last night?"  I asked.

"Someone left the gate open."  She said.

Blake walked in and saw us.  "Ladies."

"Hey."  I said.

"I knew trouble was still around here somewhere."  Mom said.

"Tony's on the run.  I'm an angel."  Blake said.

"Right."  Mom said.  Riley came running in with Eve.

"South wall has been compromised.  We've got a herd coming in.  Lucy compromised the wall and took off."  Riley said.  "Austin took Avery and Melissa to safety."  Blake gave up on helping me hop across the way.  He scooped me up.

"Riley."  Riley took over and Blake's hand slid from mine.

"Blake."  I said.

"I'll be back."  He said.

I saw the smoke coming from inside the walls.  I jumped out of the car and ran toward the gate.  It was wide open.  I grabbed my machete from where it was hooked on my belt and started through the herd.

"Stay together."  Liam said.  We made it through the first half.  I heard a scream and I saw Lucy, she shoved Rachel onto a group of walkers.  I ran over as fast as I could and worked my way through the herd.

I got to Rachel and pulled her to her feet.

We got the herd cleared and I grabbed Rachel in a hug.  Blake ran over and she went to hug him.  "I'm okay.  No bites or scratches."  She said.
