Moving

After that day, Liam and I had more sex than before.  I would get a daily dose of Alex and Liam which I was perfectly content with.

We got separated when the town got overrun.  I was in the back of the van with Riley and Rachel.  Nick and Cam on the front, Larissa and Carly with me in the back.

"We're supposed to meet them at the highway."  Nick said.  "If they aren't there by morning we are to head to the next compound."

Morning came and no sign of the others.

We arrived at the next compound and I saw Melinda pacing in front of the main house.   "Gonna wear a hole in the ground."  I said as Liam and I approached.  She saw us and ran over.  She nearly knocked us down.  We both got our hugs.  She kept her hold on Liam, she did that more often with him when she was scared.

"Everyone okay?"  I asked.

"Nick got bit."  She whispered.

"Shit."  I said.

"Carly is a wreck.  She wants one of you to..."  she said.  I nodded.

"Liam, take Mel to the trailer.  I'll be back."  I said, I kissed Mel's cheek and went toward the infirmary.

"Your little tackle has me standing at attention."  Liam said in attempt to distract me.  It worked.  I smiled, he smirked and gave me a soft kiss.

"Do you ever not want sex?"  I asked.

"Yes."  He said shaking his head no making me laugh.  He walked with me up to the trailer and pressed me against the door once it was shut.  His lips on mine in a feverish kiss.  He lifted me and put my legs around his waist.

"Be quiet, the babies are sleeping."  I said.  He ended up under me on the bed.

He sat up and returned his lips to mine.  "I got something for you."  He said.  He held out his hand and I saw a necklace with a ring on it.  I tackled him with a hug and a kiss.  He knocked me down on the bed.

Alex returned while I was cutting some vegetables.  Liam was playing with Rachel and Riley on the floor.  Alex kissed my ear and held his hand out.  I made him open his hand and a ring set in his palm.  "Did you two coordinate?"  I asked.  He smiled, he unclasped the necklace and put the ring on it he gave me before hooking the clasp again.

He gave me a kiss before sitting at the table behind me.  "Nick is gone.  We buried him an hour ago."  Alex said.

"Is Carly okay?"  I asked.

"She's handling it the best she can."  He said.

That night, Melinda was asleep and Liam and I were outside.  Rachel and Riley playing on a blanket we laid out.

A scream got my attention, I went inside, Melinda ran into me.  She was covered in sweat, I held her arms stopping her from hitting me.  "Mel."  Her eyes met mine.  She hugged me, pressing her face into my chest.  "Hey, what happened?"

"Nightmare."  She whispered.  She followed me outside her hand in mine.  I pulled her into my lap when I sat down.

"Everything okay?"  Liam asked.

"You guys don't have to go on a raid do you?"  I asked.

"No."  Liam said.

"We're good here."  Alex said.  "What was your dream about?"

"Same thing it always is."  I said.  The cool breeze felt good against my sweaty face.  Alex rubbed my back.

"We're going to be fine.  You can't get rid of us that easy."  Liam said.  I nodded.
