----Alex
Days passed and she was still out. She had transfusions and she was on fluids. She was still not waking up. She had a baby boy and a baby girl. Carly and Larissa spent most of the time tending to the babies. Liam and I didn't know much.
"We need more formula. We don't know how long Mel is going to be out." Larissa said.
"I'll go." Liam said.
"Liam, you..." I said.
"Alex, I have to do something. I'll go. I'll be back by tonight. Stay here in case she wakes up." He said walking away.
That night, I was sitting beside Melinda's bed, my hand in hers. Liam came in and set the canisters of formula down by the sink. "It's still good. Not expired." He said. I nodded. "How are the babies?"
"As fine as they can be." I said sitting back in my chair. "They're looking for her. They need her and want her." I said.
He nodded. "Sorry about earlier." He said, leaning on the wall with his hands in his pockets. "My PTSD is through the roof and my main reason for existing is lying here."
"Trust me I know." I said.
"You two need to get some sleep." Matt said checking Melinda's vitals. "Larissa and Carly have the twins. I can wake you if something happens, but you two are dead on your feet."
Liam managed to sleep until midnight. I was asleep in the chair beside her bed.

I was sitting by the cribs holding the baby boy. The baby girl was asleep, my free hand where she could reach. Her little hand wrapped around my finger. I looked up hearing footsteps. It was Alex. "A few hours is better than nothing." He said before sliding his hands under baby girl. He sat down and held her. "They look so much like Mel, hard to say if I'm dad or you are." He said with a chuckle.
"I've got stronger genes than you." I said and he smirked.
"Debatable." He said.

Everything was blurry when I first opened my eyes. I squeezed my eyes shut and opened them again. "Welcome back." Doc said seeing me wake up. "Carly, go get the guys."
Alex and Liam came in. "Welcome back." Alex said.
"Hey you." Liam said.
"Hi." I whispered. "Where are my babies?" I asked.
"They are fine." Alex said crouching beside my bed. "Larissa is with them." Liam sat down beside me. Alex pressed a kiss to the back of my hand.
Doc let me go home the next day, I still spent most of my time in bed. Rachel and Riley were much more content with me being home and present all the time. Rachel was asleep in my arms when Alex came in.
"Do we have names?" He asked sitting down.
"Rachel and Riley." I said. Rachel woke up hearing my voice. "Shh... mean daddy woke baby up." I said. Alex smiled. "Have you and Liam figured it out yet?" I asked.
"No. They both look like their beautiful mommy." He said.
"I know." I said with a teasing smile. "Do you need me to tell you?"
"No." He said. "Regardless, we love the babies and we love their mommy."
"You two will figure it out soon." I said. He smiled.
