After breakfast, it was time for Dean and me to leave.

"Yeah so, we should be back sometime tomorrow, but just in case, don't forget to take out the laundry," I reminded Leo. "And the bathroom needs to be cleaned. Badly."

"Convenient that you're leaving right around the same time," Leo crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

"It's your week to clean it," I deadpanned. Valentina smacked him for me.

"Anyways, I'll see you guys in a few, yeah? I promise to bring David back safe and alive!" Dean said cheerily, slinging his arm around my waist and pull me closer. I yelped and almost lost my balance.

"You better, Leo won't survive a week without him," Valentina replied. Leo turned towards her, looking highly affronted. "What? He can't cook and you can't clean. But together, you make a half-functional person."

"You don't clean either," Leo pointed out. She rolled her eyes and he laughed, hugging her.

"Alright, well, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving," I nodded towards Valentina. Instead of nodding back, she stared at me then ran at me and grabbed both of my arms, looking intensely into my eyes. "Huh-" I choked as she hugged me tighter than I was expecting.

"Uh...thanks?" I stuttered. She released me and started to shake hands with Dean. I turned to Leo and tentatively held out my arms, unsure if he was the huggy type or not.

Leo walked up next and smirked at me. "I've been waiting for this," he told me.

"Huh?" I asked. Instead of responding, he crushed both of my lungs in a bear hug, then started to lift me up. "Hey-hey-put me down!" I protested, "You're holding me way too tight! I can't breathe."

"That's what she said!" Leo replied, before him and Valentina erupted into laughter. I rolled my eyes, then gasped as he slung me over his shoulder. "Okay okay! That's enough," I smacked him on the back, letting him know I was ready to be put down. He just laughed and set me on the ground. We all waved goodbye and I smacked him again, just for good measure.

Dean and I walked on our own to the car, since he had parked a few blocks away. The morning was crisp and cold, and a greyish-white fog clouded over everything. But I didn't feel uncomfortable. There were some small puddles of water on the sidewalk, and the air felt cool and placid. Everyone was still asleep, so we didn't run into any people on the sidewalk and feel forced to cross to the other side. I could even hear some birds chirping

As I climbed into the passenger seat, I looked down. Fortunately, it appeared Dean was the sort of person who kept his car clean and I was able to comfortably put my feet on the car floor.

Dean climbed into the driver's seat and started the car. I leaned back into my seat, yawning.

"Looking forward to being home again?" Dean asked. I shrugged.
