Chapter Eighty Seven

Third Person's POV

All the demons in the crowd look confused before one shouts, "Wait do they mean Akina Urameshi? But will they allow that as she is a substitute fighter?" Akina then takes a step back as Kuwabara throws off his shirt and yells, "Let's go!" Yusuke stares in disbelief at his injured friend as he says, "You're kidding me." Botan glares at Akina who is smirking at Kuwabara and shouts, "The boy can't even walk without doubling over. As the team trainer, I must say this is a ridiculous idea." This makes Akina look over to Botan as she snaps at her, "And as the substitute fight who actually does what her title says, I say shut up as you have no say on the matter, unless one of these guys actually say you trained them!" Botan gasps at her in offence, whilst Goro just looks over at Botan and says, "Sorry Botan, but she is right. You technically have no say on the matter." Kurama stares in disbelief, having expected Akina to volunteer and somehow get the committee to agree with her, not somehow get Kuwabara standing and volunteering himself. "Interesting." He breathes out. Whilst Hiei stares at the pair not pleased at all as he says, "Pointless."

Akina helps the injured teen, who is shaking and groaning into the ring. He can feel her tracing something on him, making him whisper to her, "What are you doing?" Akina doesn't move her gaze onto him and keeps it straight forward as she whispers her reply, "I'm rubbing in a pain relief that will lessen the pain so that you'll be able to focus on educating this scum about honor, after all I didn't help you stand so that these demons could continue to underestimate you." Kuwabara looks at Akina with a look of gratitude before whispering back to her, "You can count on me." He then turns to glare at those standing in the ring and calls out with determination as Akina lets go of him, "I can handle this, you guys. Remember, that lady from the medical tent took Hiei and the Masked Fighter off and said I was okay."

"Stupid! Cause she's not a nurse. And sis! What are you doing encouraging this?!" Yusuke shouts at the pair, making Kuwabara tell him, "Don't confuse the issue. The point here is that I'm still eligible to fight. And I'm the only one as those big wigs haven't permitted Akina to fight again." Hiei hearing his words decide to add his own argument into the mix as he says, "Yes. But eligible and able are two different words." Kuwabara glares over at Hiei as he yells, "You shut up, shrimp!" Kuwabara's ribs protest at his sudden movements he made whilst yelling, making him then clutch his ribs and groan as he falls to his knees, making Akina slowly approach him, whilst Yusuke runs over. "See, you're in no shape." Yusuke says as soon as he is in front of Kuwabara. "I'm going, Urameshi! Unless you want to kill me yourself." Kuwabara says fiercely as he glares at the shocked Yusuke. 

"I know these guys are cheating us. I know you're angry, and heck, I know what happens if we lose. But if you and Hiei go on some tirade destroying people 'till you get your way, you'll be just like them. Let's win this thing clean like--" Kuwabara argues with Yusuke until Yusuke finishes what he is about to say, "Like men." Kuwabara smirks at this, whilst Akina nods and says, "See, Yusuke, this is his fight." But Hiei of course doesn't help keep up the mood as he sarcastically says, "How touching." The three humans look over to the medical tent and Kuwabara yells at Hiei, "Bite my ankles, shorty! I swear I'll make you cry to your mom! If you have a mom that is." Kurama smiles at the chaos and thinks to himself, 'To think they could one day be in-laws.' Whilst Goro chuckles and shakes his head as he thinks, 'I can't wait to bare witness to the day Kuwabara tries to propose to Yukina.'
