Chapter 118: Mateo

We are now in the kitchen eating chips talking to JJ. He said he wanted a snack so we are in here and Nate pulled out some chips for him, I have eaten a couple but have mostly been talking to JJ. I knew he like dinosaur but I didn't know his favorite was the velociraptor because they work together to hunt. Nate was holding Luca on his knee.

"JJ can you swim?" Nate asks.

"Kind of." He answers but he looks like he may be a bit overzealous about that.

"Do you want to know how to swim?" I ask him and he nods his head.

"Maybe we can teach you." Nate says and I nod.

"I have a question." JJ starts me and Nate both look at him waiting for him to ask. "What is my last name?" He asks and I smile.

"Rivera-Ross." I answer and he arches a brow.

"Isn't that both your last names?" He asks and we both nod.

"Rivera-Ross is Grace's last name." I chime and he smiles. "You like Grace, don't you?" I ask, and he nods.

"She was the only that was actually nice to me in a long time." He whispers and I start to feel bad, for him. "I like all of you, I like that I have things of my own." He says and Nate nods eating another chip.

"Why kind of things do you like to do?" Nate asked.

"I like to read, play with Legos, play Minecraft, climb." He trails off and me and Nate nod.

"What do you like to read?" I lean over and Nate gives me Luca and I set him on my leg like Nate.

"Things about dinosaurs, and comic books mostly." He answers.

We all skipped lunch since we basically filled up on chips and we watched movies. JJ wanted to hold Luca so we sat him down in his lap, and he wrapped his hands around his waist. I heard the door click open and Grace ran in so fast, I got up following her leaving Nate with JJ and Luca and saw her throwing up in the sink. She started dry heaving and I walked up behind her rubbing her back, the door clicked close and Bucky walked in.

"She's been getting sick all day." Bucky whispered. "She tried to tough it out but I insisted on bringing her back." He explained and I nodded.

"Thank you." I mouth and she grabs a paper towel wiping her mouth. She faces me then pulls out her phone, and she looks like she's so worried.

"I have to go see Skinner. I hope you get better Grace." He says and she nods.

"Thank you." She says and he nods, closing the door behind him. "Mateo, I'm late." She whispers and I look at her.

"You think you're pregnant." I speak in a hushed whisper back to her and she nods. I hear footsteps and JJ walks in Nate behind him holding Luca. She holds the phone up to her ear and whispers to whoever is on the other end before hanging up.

"Taylor was coming over tonight for dinner I told her to grab a test." She says and I nod. "I'll be right back." She says and scurries off.

"What is it?" Nate whispers and I leaned over.

"She thinks she may be pregnant." I say and his eyes widen.

"What are we going to do with three kids?" He almost yells and I laugh.

"We will be fine. You forget one of those kids has only eight years until he's grown while the other one has seventeen years and eight months." I point out and he shrugs.

"What are you talking about?" JJ asks and I look down at him.

"Grace thinks she may be pregnant." I answer and he arches a brow.

"Another baby?" He asks and I nod. "Don't worry I already know how their made, I won't ask you that." He blurts out and I laugh, Nate covers his mouth holding in his laugh.

"Okay then." Nate quips. Grace comes down the stairs and heads to the fridge.

"I'm hungry. Oh God." She wipes a hand over her face and I smirk. The door bursts open and Grace startles turning to face the door. "Taylor! Please don't do that!" She yells but Taylor smirks.

"Sorry I'm holding a human." Taylor answers and Grace walks to where she can see her whole-body seeing Annie.

"Hey Annie." Grace greets and she kneels down while Annie runs to her. She almost knocks Grace over but Grace holds herself up on her hand behind her. "Strong girl." She whispers, Annie lets go of her and runs to the stool. Austin and Rya walk in.

"Hey." He greets wrapping his arm around Grace. Rya walks up hugging her with a smile on her face.

"How are you?" Rya asks and Grace sighs.

"I'm okay." She says but Rya arches a brow.

"I'll interrogate later although Taylor is holding one of my big questions. I followed her into the pharmacy." She whispers and Grace smiles. Taylor walks up to her and shoves it in the front of her jeans.

"Did you have to do that?" She scolds but Taylor smirks.

"You and I both know you." Taylor quips and Grace rolls her eyes.
