The Hashira

"You're in the presence of the Hashira!"

-3rd Person POV-
When Tanjiro woke up, he was tied up and all the Hashira had their thoughts. A man with white hair said aloud, "Bummer. I heard he was a Demon Slayer with a demon in tow, so I was looking forward to seeing someone flamboyant, but that's one drab-looking kid, huh?" A man with hair that resembled fire yelled, "And we're here for this boy's trial! I see!" A woman with pink and greenish hair thought to herself, "To think that he's been protecting his sister who's now a demon... Now that's beautiful sibling love! How brave!" Tanjiro asked himself, "Wh-Who are these peop-" Tanjiro was cut off by the Kakushi slamming his head on the rocks. He yelled, "Don't open your mouth just yet, you moron! Just who do you think is standing before you? You're in the presence of the Hashira!" Tanjiro stared at the people in front of him and thought, "Hashira? What is the 'Hashira'? What's he talking about? And who are these people? Where even am I?" Shinobu said, "This is the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. And you're about to be put on trial... Kamado Tanjiro-kun. Before we start the trial, why don't you explain the crime you've comm-" "There's no need for a trial!" The same man with the yellow hair interrupted. That man's name was 'Kyojuro Rengoku' (Flame Hashira). He added, "Protecting a demon is a clear violation of the code! We're within our rights to deal with him on our own! We're going to behead him along with the demon!" The white-haired man's name was 'Tengen Uzui' (Sound Hashira). He also said, "In that case, I'll be glad to decapitate him with style. I'll show you the most flamboyant blood spray you'll ever see. I'm talking max flamboyance." The pink and green-haired woman's name was 'Mitsuri Kanroji' (Love Hashira). She thought to herself, "Eh? You'd kill such an adorable child? That pains my heart! It fills me with anguish!" The tallest out of them was named 'Gyomei Himejima' (Stone Hashira). Tanjiro felt that he was the strongest out of them all. Gyomei said, "Ah, what a pitiful sight this boy is. The poor soul... I pity him for having been born at all." The youngest boy was named 'Muichiro Tokito' (Mist Hashira). He thought to himself, "What was the shape of that cloud again? What was it called again?" Tanjiro asked himself, "Where's Nezuko? Nezuko!" The male Kakushi said, "Hey, you... The Hashira are speaking. What are you looking at? These are the nine highest-ranking swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro said, "Hashira..." "Let's put him out of his misery," Gyomei said, in a praying manner. Kyojuro and Tengen said, "Right," and "Let's do it. Flamboyantly." Tanjiro looked around while the Male Kakushi yelled, "Hey!" Tanjiro called out, "Nezuko... Nezuko, where are you? Nezuko! Zenitsu! Inosuke! Murata-san!" A man, with a snake, in the tree spoke, "Forget that. What will we do with Tomioka? Seeing him there without any restraints is giving me a headache. Based on what Kocho told us, Tomioka's just as guilty of breaking the Corps rules." That man's name was 'Obanai Iguro' (Serpent Hashira). He asked, "How will we deal with him? How should we make him take responsibility? What kind of lesson shall we teach him?" He pointed at Giyu and said, "Don't you have anything to say, Tomioka?" Tanjiro looked towards Giyu and thought, "Because of me, now even Tomiaka..." Mitsuri looked at Obanai and thought, "Iguro, you're just as serpent-like as ever!  I love how tenacious you are!" She finished her thoughts while everyone looked at Giyu, she followed behind and thought, "Tomioka-san! All by himself at a distance! How cute!" Giyu is the current Water Hashira. Shinobu said, "Oh, I think it's fine. He did come along without resisting. Let's come up with a penalty later. Shinobu was the current Insect Hashira. She added, "What I'm more interested in is hearing this boy's story. The reason he's going on missions with a demon in tow despite being a Demon Slayer... I'd like to hear the explanation from the boy himself. Needless to say, what he's done is against the Demon Slayer Corps rules. You are aware of that, aren't you?" While she spoke, Tanjiro got up and said, "Uh... *exhales*." Shinobu said, "Kamado Tanjiro-kun... why are you travelling with a demon when you're a Demon Slayer?" Tengen grabbed his swords and said, "No need to ask." Shinobu said, "You can take your time. Just tell us why." Tanjiro quickly said, "She's my... She's my younger sister! That demon is my sister! While I was away, my family was attacked by a demon, and when I got home, everyone was all dead! Then my sister was turned into a demon, but she's never eaten anyone! She never has... and never will! She'll never hurt humans no matter what!" Obanai said, "Spare us your absurd ravings. If she's family, of course you're defending her. I can't trust a single word you're saying. I, for one, don't believe you." Gyomei said, "Ah. She's been possessed by a demon. Let us kill this poor child immediately so that she can be liberated!" Tanjiro yells, "Listen to me, please! I became a swordsman so that Nezuko could be cured! It's been two years since Nezuko became a demon! And in all that time, she hasn't devoured one human!" Tengen said, "Your story's spinning in the drabbest way possible, idiot. The fact that she hasn't eaten anyone, that she won't from now on. Don't give us lip service. Prove it to us with max flamboyance." Muichiro asked, "What was that bird again? Um..." Then Mitsuri said, "Excuse me? I do have my doubts, you know. I just can't imagine the Master being in the dark about this situation." Both Tengen and Kyojuro grunt in agreement as she added, "Do you really think it's okay to deal with him without his permission?" Tanjiro looked at the three while MItsuri finished, "Shouldn't we at least wait until he arrives?" Tanjiro blurted, "My sister... My sister will fight with me by my side! She can fight as a Demon Slayer to protect humans! So, please..." Another man shows up as he says, "Well, well, I see you have some fun brewing here." The man and Giyu seem to have bad blood since Giyu averted his gaze to him. He also said, "Is that the moron Slayer who has a demon with him? What the hell are you trying to pull here?" That man's name was 'Sanemi Shinazugawa' Current Wind Hashira." Mitsuri thought, "Shinazugawa-san! You've gained even more scars! How gorgeous you look!" A female Kakushi comes from around the corner while yelling, "This won't do, Shinazugawa-sama! Please, would you mind putting the box down?" Shinobu rises from the ground while Mitsuri thought, "Shinobu looks pretty angry! Now, that's unusual! She's so cool!" Shinobu warned, "Shinazugawa-san, please don't act out of line." Sanemi asked, "What did you say about that demon, kid? That she can fight as a Demon Slayer to protect humans? You know what we call that?" Sanemi reached for his sword while yelling, "A total delusion, you moron!" He then pulled out his sword and pierced the box, stabbing Nezuko inside. Tanjiro got angry from seeing the sword come ou the other side and ran toward him. He stopped and yelled, "Anyone who hurts my sister... Hashira or not, I won't let you get away with it!" Sanemi laughed as he pulled his katana out of the box. While whipping his katana to clean it, he said, "Is that right? Good for you!" Tanjiro got mad as some rocks floated. He ran toward Sanemi as Giyu yelled, "Stop it! The Master will be arriving soon!" Sanemi realized but Tanjiro kept charging and screaming. He tried to slash Tanjiro but Tanjiro jumped over a delivered a hard head-butt to Sanemi's head, knocking him to the ground hard. All the Hashira gasp as they all watch. Mitsuri kind of laughs as she excuses herself, "Pardon me." Tanjiro was the first to get up and got in front of the box. Sanemi, who was very dizzy, weakly muttered, "Damn you!" Obanai thought, "Even though Tomioka ran interference, he still landed a big blow on Shinazugawa." Tanjiro said, "If you can't tell the difference between good demons and bad, you should just quit being a Hashira!" Sanemi, who had some trouble getting up and a bleeding nose, said, "You little..." He grabbed his katana and added, "I'll destroy you!" He pointed his sword at Tanjiro but two females spoke in tandem, "The Master... has arrived." Everyone in the yard looked at the Master as a man walked out of a door. While walking, he said, "So good of you to come." Tanjiro examined the man and saw a purplish disease spread across the top side of hise face. He finished, "My beloved children..."

Chapter 44: End.

So writing on my laptop is way easier than writing on a phone. I have no idea why I didn't do that in the first place anyways.

-A Little Secret-
Tanjiro also had another dream where he, along with 9 others, had to fight for survival. He doesn't k know where those dreams come from.

One last thing, I will not be doing a second chapter tonight, mainly because I have school and I'm starting to get tired. I will also try my best to do three chapters later on today since I couldn't publish the second one in time.
