Another day another headache
Another couple of pain pills
Popped like candy
But not as tasty
Craving something sweet
Or some sleep
Not sure which
Or just craving
For something
This environment I'm in
Reminds me of the old days
I'm cleaning up a space that had a cool youth event today
The open foyer reminds me of the circle space that old building had once
And those mismatched couches
A fake tree in the corner
Checkerboard floors with their big squares
And it suddenly hits me
Out of the blue
Which is why
I pop a couple of painkillers
To suppress the headache
Brought on
By a want of a memory
