He smiled back, but suddenly his smile dropped as his head snapped to the right, looking intently at one of the ships.

Then he yelled "GET DOWN!" and grabbed me, flinging the both of us to the ground. I flinched and covered my ears as a huge BOOM erupted to the right, and a wave of heat flowed over us as a ship exploded from the impact of a cannon.

Y/N POV

I stayed in the same position, shivering slightly due to the sudden impact of the canon to the ship on the right. Beomgyu's figure hovered protectively over me as arm secured me to the ship floor.

He immediately looked up over the side to see what happened. His eyebrows scrunched like he was struggling to see something. I watched as his eyes widened in realisation.

"Stay down!" He whisper-yelled and sprinted to his cabin. He came right out with a gun the length of his elbow. He held it up and covered his left ear, making me do the same with both ears.

He shot three bullets to the sky in a certain rhythm. After moving my hands away the sound of panicking and screaming filled my ears. People ran for their lives and ships were rapidly retreating. I watched as the whole Island dissolved into chaos by the cannon.

Beomgyu ran over to me and grabbed my wrist. He then hoisted me up and dragged me toward the island surface. Captain Park's warning ran through my head, but this was an emergency. We were on the floor of the dock, and Beomgyu looked left and right, searching for someone.

"Heather!" I heard a faint voice yelling to the right. Among the crowd, I saw a black hat with a long white feather. Behind the owner of the hat, a small crowd of men came running. I felt a rush of relief as the Caption and the crew retreated to the S.S. Serendipity.

Captain Park rushed to us and threw his arms around me. He gripped me tightly. Not going to lie, I felt so so relieved that he was here. I did not expect him to hug me in a situation like this, but being in his arms comforted me. It felt like I was being protected, and nothing could go wrong when he was here.

"Oh thank the heavens nothing happened to you...I would never forgive myself..." he mumbled onto my shoulder. I was still as ice, but found myself slowly leaning on him and absorbing his warmth

He suddenly let go of me, making me miss the warmth even if it has been only a second. He grabbed my shoulders.

"Are you fine? No injuries?" He asked, worry evident in his eyes. Maybe he cared a bit after all. I shook my head and he sighed in relief. In a split second, his face turned cold.

"Beomgyu get the cannons ready." He said, his voice dripping with anger. He looked calm, but his face was scary. His mere gaze could eat you up

He let go of my shoulders and stomped onto the ship, leaving me standing on the dock alone.

"Heather!" Another man came running and tackled me with another hug. But this one wouldn't let go until he was sure I wasn't hurt.

"Taehyung oppa I'm fine! I just want to know what's going on! Why is the Captain ordering the crew to ready the cannons?" I asked, finally getting out of his grip. Taehyung had a grim expression, debating on whether or not to tell me.

"Just come with me for now." He said, grabbing my wrist and boarding the ship. He led me straight to the Captain's cabin. It didn't look any different from last time. He made me sit on the bed and ran back out.

"Stay there. I'll be back." He said and closed the door. I sat silently, hearing muffled screams through the wooden walls. The sound came from below, where I knew the cannons and other weapons were stored.
