Aayesha's POV

He left me?

I was confounded looking at him...at his sudden change. I didn't even blink my eyes, following him when he sat in his car. I was confused. Why is he reacting like this? What happened to him?

He glanced at me for last time with his bloodshot eyes before he looked ahead, accelerated the gear and drove off. My heart clenched at the sight and I quickly paced towards him but in vain. He was already nowhere to be seen. My heart beat quickened all of sudden.

I was confused and blurred. I don't know what to do. He was reacting so strange and it was the first time ever he yelled at me. What did I do even?

"Did he gets mad for telling him about this evening incident?" I asked myself with frown eyebrows.

I rubbed my forehead as I looked down at my feet blankly before I gulped. He was not in a good condition when he left. My heart beat shooted up instantly when his frustrated face came to my view.

I started panicking as I quickly took my mobile and dialled his number but in vain. He didn't pick up. My forehead started to sweat badly on his thoughts. Worries started to invade me. Ya Allah!

"Pick up! Pick up!" I kept murmuring as I walked back and forth with mobile attached to my ear.

"Armaan! You're freaking me out!" I looked at the screen when he didn't receive my call. I again dialled his number and held my mobile to my ear again.

"Uff!" I huffed as I shut my eyes in stress when he again didn't pick up my call. I opened my message tab and started to type something.

Assalamualaikum! Armaan....what happened to you? You're freaking me out! Please answer my call.

I clicked on the send button and waited for a while for his reply but I received none. I felt knot in my throat as I stared at my screen. I don't know why my eyes turned glassy. His acts, his expressions, his eyes...told me a different story. He was in a mess. I don't know what was that but as far as I know, something was pulling him...or to be exact, eating him slowly.

Everytime he's with me, I could feel that once in a while his mind travel to somewhere else. But where? What was he hiding from me?

Armaan...just tell me that you're okay.

I clicked the send button again and waited but no reply. I decided to call him and dialled his number. I waited for few seconds when a lady spoke in her British accent. I raised my eyebrows before my heart was pounding wild.

His phone was switched off?

Shehryaar's POV

I drove off her house at the maximum speed when my phone started ringing. I glanced at the passenger seat next to me, where my phone was and saw Aayesha's name appeared as the caller's ID.

I decided to ignore and speeded the car, splitting the road to I don't even know where. I just wanted to go far away from here...far away from all the shits that I have created with my own hands. I wanted to ran away. I wanted to calm myself down. I needed space. Everything seemed suffocating and drowning. I couldn't breathe when the same thing popped on my head once again. My truth.

My phone started screaming again and I furrowed as I glanced to the seat. Again Aayesha's name appeared. I wiped my tears and switched off my phone. I turned on the radio to distract my mind from her.
