Waqas's POV
I wore my Sherwaani and walked to the long and width mirror attached to the white wall in my bedroom. I stopped right in front of the mirror and looked at my reflection, from head to toe.
I gulped down the nervousness, seeing me fully dressed like a groom. My heart beat quickened or to be exact it was throbbing inside. I just couldn't tell how am I feeling right now.
This was the day I've been running from all the time in my life but finally it arrived...without any warning. Time flies too fast that I couldn't believe just in a blink of eyes, it's my Nikaah Day today. I accepted it whole-heartedly.
I heard a knock on my door, shook me out of my pool of thoughts and I glanced at the door through the mirror. Without opening it, I knew already who it was.
I bit the corner of my lower lip and stepped towards the door when it again banged along with a voice.
"Abhay beghairat dulhay raja! Behosh to nahi na ander?!" I heard Hussain yelled from outside as he banged the door again and I chuckled as I turned the knob and the door was opened widely.
"Unfortunately nahi!" I winked when they cam face to face to me.
"Unfortunately?" Shehry asked with a smirk and I giggled, smacking his head.
"Because you guys will be happy if I faint. That's why unfortunate for you guys." I sticked my tongue out and they laughed out loud, made me chuckle as I shook my head.
Atif and Hussain entered my room and plopped themselves down my bed and Shehry walked to my dressing table, adjusting his hair and I rolled my eyes.
"Are you ready Waqas? We're moving to the Masjid in few." Hussain told as he glanced at his wrist watch and I gulped down. I felt excited but at the same time I felt nervous too.
"Yeah I am. But...I'm nervous!!" I chuckled, hiding the battle in me with laughter and they giggled too looking at me.
"Just chill bro! Sab theek ho jaayega!" Shehry winked as I felt he wrapped his arm around my neck and I lifted up my head to look at him. He passed me a reassuring smile with a nod and I sighed.
"Just think about the life that you're going to live with Salwa later, you'll be fine." Hussain laughed and I smacked his head made him laugh even more as Atif joined him too.
"Chal Waqas. They are waiting for you downstairs. We came to pick you." Atif winked and my heart beat accelerated to the highest rate upon hearing him.
I got up and they followed suit as they led me downstairs. While I was trudging the stairs, I could feel all the gaze was upon me which really made me feel uncomfortable. Furthermore when relatives already invaded my house since Mehndi Night.
"MashaAllah!" Mama came hugging me and she kissed my cheeks, made me blush and I looked down. Dad hugged me as he gave me his blessings and we stepped out of the house.
I sat in my car, driven by Shehry as Hussain sat next to him and Atif and me at the back. Hussain turned on the radio, killing the awkward silence that started to engulf us...me actually. They all as usual were singing, shouting, screaming from on top of their lungs except me.
This nervousness didn't allow me to do anything else except thinking when will my Nikaah ceremony done. I couldn't stay in peace till that two powerful words escaped my mouth with no struggle. I just prayed everything goes well.
"Waqas.." Atif took my name as he placed his hand on top of mine on my lap and I trailed my eyes down at our hands before I looked at him.
"We've reached." He told and I gulped down as I looked out of the window. I literally widened my eyes when realization hits me. I wasn't aware that the car has stopped.
