Chapter 12

#Lyn's POV#

After a tiring day of school, I headed home, ready for a snack and a TV break. I invited both Amber and Jack over, but they both had plans for the evening, Amber having a dinner party and Jack having to babysit his little brother, who's only five. So we decided that they could come over tomorrow, and we had all the parents' permission before we left the school. 

I unlocked the front door to see Lizzie lying on the couch and Joel nowhere in sight. "Lizzie! I'm back!" I said cheerfully. "Amber and Jack are not able to come today, so they're coming over-" I got interrupted by a sob. I approached my adopted mother cautiously. "Lizzie? Are you alright?" She sniffed. I could sense that she had been crying for a long time, as her nose and cheeks were bright red. "No... Lyn... go pack your bags. We're going to live with Scott for five days." 

Usually if I head that I was going to live with Scott Major for a few days, I would have been so excited that I could pop. But due to Lizzie's expression and how she said it, I don't think it was planned or that it was just a visit. But I started to go up the stairs, and saw that Joel wasn't home. "Uhh, Lizzie?" I asked, turning back. "Where's Joel?" 

Lizzie suddenly became fierce, which I have never seen before, even in her videos. "No! Don't talk about him!" And I realised that they must have had a fight when I was at school. So I went to my room and started to pack. 

#Lizzie's POV#

After Lyn went upstairs, I groaned and rolled off the sofa, needing to pack, too. Nothing too much, just five outfits for five days, pyjamas and toiletries, and obviously my computer. I also needed to text Scott and ask if he could accommodate us for the time being. If he couldn't, I could ask Jimmy or Grian. 

Fortunately, Scott had nothing much planned for the rest of this week except for an AfterLife stream. He even let us bring Meri and Buddy to his house to entertain his kitty, Elle. "Ready, Lyn?" I took a deep breath. "Ready." Lyn held my hand and tried to smile. "But promise me you'll tell me everything later." I nodded. "Alright. You deserve it." 

So then we drove to Scott's house. 

#Joel's POV#

I was in Bella's house, sulking on the sofa. That just happened. Lizzie found out. Most of my 'grocery shopping' trips were to Bella's or to a place that is easy for us to meet each other. We have done this for almost a year, since meeting her at MineCon. And Lizzie never found out. Until now. I put my head in my hands. Gosh, I hated my life. 

No. I didn't mean that. I'm famous, I have almost three and half million subscribers on YouTube, and life with Lizzie and Lyn were fabulous. But now I ruined it. Meeting Bella ruined it. Lizzie and probably Lyn are fuming at me. Everything's changed now. 

"Joel!" Bella's cheerful voice rang out. How could anyone be cheerful at this kind of time? Well, I guess it's because Lizzie just kicked me out of the house and kinda dumped me. "Do you want me to cook dinner or do you want to go out for some Italian food?" She asked. 

"Anything is fine..." I mumbled under my breath, keeping it so Bella barely heard it. "Okay." She said. "I'll make you some chicken and rice, as you seem so sad. Anyway, why are you so sad?" She came over to the living room and sat down next to me. "It's no big deal. Many people get dumped in their lives. And you? You belong with me, not Elizabeth. Go grab all of your stuff and move in here. I have plenty of space.-" "But you don't understand!" I yelled. "Can't you see how sad Lizzie looked? Can you be sympathetic? You're not the girl for me, Bella. Now I understand. Lizzie is the one. She truly, genuinely loves me. You're just using me, thinking that if I become your husband you would get more subscribers. Stay with your four hundred thousand subs, Bella. Gain them yourself, not because of me. Goodbye, Bella Anderson. I'm leaving." And with that, I stood up even before Bella could reply, grabbed my backpack from the counter and slammed the front door shut.
