Ellen came home from the cabin determined to let go of everything that happened last night. It was an amazing night but she couldn't dwell on it because she had to get back to her life. Her work, her three amazing children and her loving husband. 'Oh god Chris didn't deserve what she did to him' she thought and at the same time she was greatful he was so clueless. Nothing about this situation was fair to anyone but she knew that it was a bad circle and no matter what she and Patty did someone would be hurt, either their spouses or themselfs. So unfortunately it had to be themselfs most of the time, but some days they needed their release too. But today was a new day and it was time to let go of it all. The guilt, the sorrow and the longing was just going to have to disappear. Ellen entered the front door with a smile and pushed everything else out of her head "Mommy, mommy i missed you" Eli came running up to her and her heart melted. Her kids were her world and she needed to re-enter reality now.Patrick came home to a very angry Jill. He had told her that he was spending the night hanging out with Eric. But he was suppost to come home so when he didn't Jillian got super upset questioning what the hell he had been doing. But then he told her that he passed out on Erics couch and she calmed down a bit, even though she was still mad he hadn't called.
T had interrupted their argument and now he was sitting in the kitchen eating some breakfast alone. Patrick was trying really hard not to think about Ellen and about last night, but it was so hard. He knew from the moment he decided to go meet her that it was just one night and that he was going to have to let it all go today. They were never going to be more than best friends 'well except for one night every now and then' and he knew that the next time he got to see Ellie they would go go back to being friends that didn't speak of this. It was the only way to make this all work, he was just tired of it sometimes and all he wanted right now was to text her. It took all his willpower not to do it. So instead he sat here reminiscing of all their memories.*flashback to january 2007*
Tonight was the peoples choice awards and Patrick was actually excided, maybe it was because of the fact that the whole cast was going and that they were nominated. And then maybe it was because he really needed to get out of the house. Jillian was due soon and her hormones where all over the place, so a night with his co-stars and friends was just what he needed. Ellen and him had finally gotten back their amazing friendship after all the incidents last year. He didn't know why he had reacted so badly to her engagment and kissed her in that way, but now it was forgotten and he knew he needed her to be his best friend. Ellen had been so supportive with listening to his problems at home with Jillians hormones and had given him the best advice to make things better so he owed her the same. So even if he knew Chris was coming tonight he was going to be s supportive to her realationship as she was to his.Ellen was sitting in the limo with Chris by her side. She was so happy in this moment, all the buzz around the show made her think they had a real chance of winning tonight but not only that, she was also going to be spending the night with her second family that was the grey's cast. 'Well except Isaiah' and of course her best friend was going to be there. Ellen wasn't really worried about getting Patty in the same room as Chris now, she had been at first after he kissed her at her birthday. But now Patrick had showed her that he was really sorry for his actions and she knew he supported her. And to be completely honest she understood Patrick, she could sometimes feel the jealousy when he talked about Jillian and she wouldn't have wanted to be in the room if she gave him a big love declaration either. They were really just friends but she sometimes felt as though he was hers and didn't want to share him.
She gathered all her focus as she pulled up to red carpet, it was time for interviews and photos and she needed to focus. After a few different small questions she was stopped by a very sweet interviewer. It went really well but then she was asked where Patrick was tonight and suddenly her face lit up. "I don't know where my Patty is" she told the interviewer with a small giggle, not even thinking about the fact that Chris was right behind her hearing her giggle when she talked about Patty. He never mentioned it but she saw afterwards that he was a little annoyed that everything in her life now always had to include Patrick.
