Jillian knew she had to get out of bed at some point. Yesterday after Patricks race she had gotten a surprise visit from her sister Kristin and Patricks sister Mary with families. They had talked about coming to visit for a long time since the whole family had all been away for both T's and the twins birthdays.
When the doorbell rang yesterday afternoon she was so excided to see them both alongside their families but now, laying here staring at the ceiling, she really wished for them to not be here.
She had tried to reach Patty after they surprised her but with no luck. At first it didn't bother her, he was supposed to be with some race car friends. But as time went into the late hours of the night she got a really bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.
She just knew that he was with Ellen. It was a voice inside of her that screamed at her to just wake up and see what was happening.
After trying to call him five times she called Chris and asked if Ellen was there and of course she wasn't. That along with her feeling made her so darn mad that she called him again and again, but with no luck at all.It was only six in the morning but she hadn't really slept at all. Patrick was still not home and she had gotten a text from Christopher saying that Ellen hadn't answered him all night. And now she didn't know if she wanted to scream or cry.
There was no doubt in her mind that he was with her, it was just a matter of why and what they had done. She wanted so badly to talk to her sister about her problems right now but she just couldn't. Jill had never told a soul about her worries throughout the years and there was two reasons for that.
The first one was that she was afraid other people would make her feel paranoid. Like this was all in her head and that the fights she started over it was her fault. She already felt that way sometimes and didn't want to fuel that feeling.
The other reason was the complete opposite. What if other people validated her feelings? What if they told her to leave him and then it turned out that she had been wrong this whole time?
And she knew she wasn't ready to leave. The feelings inside her was not enough for her, she needed proof that he had crossed a line with Ellen. After a while Jillian could hear people getting up in the house. 'Typical' she thought to herself. She had really hoped that Patrick would be home before anyone got up. So they could talk in peace and so that their family wouldn't question how Patty could stay out all night without anyone knowing.
But now she needed to get up to get breakfast ready.*
Talula was in the kitchen with her aunts getting some coffee and looked around to see if there was any signs that her dad had gotten home. She had seen the look on her moms face yesterday and she knew her dad hadn't told her where he was. T wasn't that worried, sure she sometimes wondered if her dad told the whole truth when it came to Ellen but lately she had begun to see why he lied. Whenever he just texted Ellen her mom would get mad and she understood that he wanted to avoid the drama. However she hated that her dad shut her mom out because it just made her mom more and more paranoid.
She looked up and saw her mom enter the kitchen. She looked like she was half asleep still and she didn't want her aunts to worry so she quickly got up to meet her mom.
"I made some coffee mom. It's on the counter." She softly spoke seeing a small smile on Jillians face.
"Oh thank you hunny. You're the best." She replied giving her daughter a gentle squeeze on the shoulder as she passed her by.Jill stood in the kitchen making small talk with her daughter and the others when she suddenly heard the door open. Her body instinctively turned around to see if she got a glimpse of how her husband looked.
"Patrick, is that you?" Mary suddenly yelled out and Jill knew he would have to make his way towards the kitchen now.
As he entered he looked like a mess. He had on last nights clothes and his hair was all over the place. Jillian watched as Patrick greeted everyone. He had a look of shock on his face seeing everyone and Jill just studied her husband not saying a word. She thought that she'd might burst out into a fit of anger if she spoke right now.
