———————————————————————-The day was finally here. Ellen was not only getting a Disney legends award but she was finally about to see Patrick again. After their argument and time apart she really missed him. And even if she knew Chris and Jill would be there today, she still got to see him, which was the most important part.
Although as happy as she was she had a bad feeling in her stomach that things were about to change. Especially after what happened yesterday...
*The day before: 11am*
"So i had this idea, might be crazy but also might be good for us." Patrick said through the phone. He had called Ellen to talk about everything. With Tal knowing too much but staying away, Chris and Jill being more jealous and worried than they had been for years. They really needed to take some form of action to settle things down until Ellen was ready to leave Grey's for real.
"Oh oh, what crazy idea is in your head now?" Ellen replied but her voice gave away a giggle at the same time. Knowing he would always surprise her.
She had of course said that maybe they needed to mimimize their friendship as a solution. Pointing out that it didn't mean see each other less but make their families believe they didn't talk much anymore. That was when Patrick brought up that he had another idea."Well, hear me out. What if we actually spent more time together..." Before he could say anything else Ellen interrupted. "And how is that going to help?" He could almost hear her roll her eyes through the phone.
"Let me finish please because it's going to sound nuts at first." Ellen just gave out a sigh but decided to let him finish.
"I was thinking that a lot of Jill and Chris trust issues get worse from us having to much alone time. And everytime we actually get together as a group '...and we behave ourselfs' ... they always seem to come around and realise that we all have fun together. And the kids do too. So i just thought that maybe the solution would be to go and hang out after the awards tomorrow. The kids too. And before you ask Talula won't be here, she is in New York with her boyfriend."
Patrick waited for a response from Ellen now and he knew she was quietly thinking on the other side of the phone."You ARE crazy baby." She said after a moment of silence, but she also said it in an amusing way as she continued. "But maybe you are right. The kids had fun last time and maybe including Jill and Chris isn't such a horrible idea."
Patrick smiled as he listen to her, surprise she didn't completely turn down the idea.
"But you know this could end up a disaster too if we are not careful so you have to behave the whole night!" Ellen said with a hint of flirtation in her voice now which made Patrick laugh a bit. "Me? What about you my love. It's you who have no self control."They both laughed and bickered back and forth of who had the least self control. In the end Ellen won that argument of course. She was way more stubburn and Patrick always gave into her eventually.
And they also agreed that a moment alone was needed before the night, because they would not behave if they hadn't gotten to kiss before.3:30pm
I talked to Jill and she seemed to be on board. Actually sounded excided. Is Chris in?
xxx Miss youEllen looked at the text Patrick had just sent. Chris had been a little hesitant but agreed when she told him her plan to invite the Dempsey family over for tomorrow night. The kids was much more excided but for a breif second she saw something in her oldest daughters eyes. Like she was conflicted. But it was only for that one second so Ellen decided to brush it off. She didn't need to get inside her head before tomorrow.
