After she heard her mother scream at her father, Talula quickly got out of her room to listen. It wasn't much of an argument today but from what she heard it was about Ellen again. 'As always'
She was now back in her room and with a sigh she got into her bed with her phone in her hand. To be honest she was sick of it all and she was afraid her brothers soon would start to understand what their parents faught about. After the dinner party she had to admit that she had her doubts about El. But at the same time she knew that how her mom acted, screaming at her dad as soon as he hung out with Ellen, it only made thing worse.Looking at her phone she thought that she needed answers, she needed proof for her mother that her dad and Ellie were just friends. But a part of her was afraid that if she started to dig into this too much she would instead find proof of the opposite. However she decided that the risk was worth it at this point and she did something she'd never done in her entire life, she googled her dad and Ellen.
T knew her mothers insecurities had to have started somewhere so the first thing she looked up was old photos and interviews of her dad with Ellen. Honestly she didn't know where to start, the searches were kind of overwealming but she did find some interviews of them together along with other cast members so she started to watch the really old footage. It was kind of strange for her to see her dad from way back then. She found her way to all various sorts of clips. There was one of her dad kissing Ellen on the cheek during an interview, one of Ellen saying she had a crush on her dad and a bunch of ther stuff. To be frank they all seemed innocent enough. She knew her dad and she knew Ellen and it was just how they acted around each other. However she tried to look at it from another perspective and a part of her knew it looked odd to outsiders and probably to her mom back then. It was before her mom knew El and of course it would be a bit conserning seeing these things way back in the day. T knew she should dig even deeper but seeing all these pictures and interviews was enough for her today so she decided to let it go for now. She wanted to trust her father and she didn't want to think Ellen would do anything to her mom either, they were friends. 'Right?'*Flashforward to March 2022*
Ellen was having the worst day. The last few months had been hard overall for her and today everyone on set seemed to mess up. She had to re-shoot several scenes and her mood was not it. The only thing she took joy in was that Jesse was returning to shoot some finale scenes tomorrow. At least that day would be better.
To top it all off she was missing Patrick more than she thought was possible. He had went away to shoot for his show devils the last few months and she had been busy aswell which had resulted in them not seeing each other for almost two months. Ellen had finally gotten used to the idea of discussing a future with Patty and now she couldn't even see him. Of course he had texted her every night and called her as much as he could. She knew he missed her too and she wasn't worried about their relationship but she was worried about when she'd have the time to see him again.
And it didn't help her that the last month had been filled with rough events, including Jillians birthday.Ellens jealousy never consumed her that much, she knew she would always be Patricks big love even if Jill got him for most of the time. But it had hurt her a bit when she saw his instagram post on Jills birthday. She knew Jillian basicly demanded to be seen on his socials but it was still rough to read all the wonderful things Patty said about her. It made Ellen feel like the other woman and it was never a good feeling.
As she sat in her trailer at the end of this rough day she took out her phone and scrolled through her socials. And there he was... the man she missed more than anything today. She looked at Patricks selfie for minute just trying to process all the love she felt looking at him. The caption read Happy St. Patricks Day. And he looked amazing. Ellen had been so busy today that she didn't even realise it was St. Patricks day until she read his caption. So she decided to comment. She knew it sometimes pissed Jill off when she commented because of the fans, they always seemed to go crazy whenever she commented. But today she didn't care, she needed to express her love in some way.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and she put her phone away. It was Marina with her coffee and a bag of nuts for snacks. She really was the best assistant Ellen could ask for.
"Are you okay Ellen? You seem a bit down." Marina asked her as she handed her the snacks. "Yes, just a long day." She replied as she took a sip of coffee.
Ellen and Marina went out to her car and made their way to her house. She tried really hard to let go of her thoughts about Patrick but she craved him today. She would do anything to feel his touch again. So she made a mental note to call him tonight before bed.
"Mom you're home!" Stella screamed as she entered her house. "Can we please watch another episode of Grey's before bed?" Her daughter asked her. They had been watching from the beginning after she'd given into Stellas nagging and Ellen thought seeing Patty on screen was just what she needed tonight. "Yes honey we can do that." She said smiling at Stella. 'At least she had her beautiful children to make a bad day better.'
