Anastasia laid on my bed. Her feet pulled up behind her as they moved back and forth. A computer shoved in her face and her angelic laugh filled the space.

She's this girl whose name is embroidered inside your head. That whenever you hear something even slightly similar to it, it makes your heart beat too fast. You know the instant her eyes, laugh and smile is all that you dream about that she has become your kryptonite. I set myself on fire just to have the chance to look at her even if I don't deserve a glance. Not now and not tomorrow. Yet, no matter how much I tell myself she will never have such a hold on my thoughts; I know I've screwed myself by just thinking that.

"Okay what about a neutral color?" She asks, peaking over the computer.

I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know. I guess it's fine."

She groaned, closing her computer. "I have no clue why I asked you to help me with Cassie's gender reveal." She sat up and placed her chin in her palm.

"Because I'm amazing, that's why." I ruffled my hair before walking over to my bed and sitting down next to Anastasia. "What's the gender?"

She laughed then looked at me seriously. "You're joking right?" I shook my head. "Oh my God you big idiot. I told you not even ten minutes ago."

"She said it was a girl Masy!" My sister yelled from the hallway.

"See, she listens to me." Anastasia huffs.

I rolled my eyes. "Don't call me that Mila!" I yelled. Falling back on my bed. Anastasia leaned over my body. Her deep brown hair falling over my face.

"Mason, you never said you don't like that nickname to me?" She seemed confused as to why I only allowed her to call me that.

My hands unconsciously reached up to her hair and fiddled with it between my fingers. "Because beautiful, I only like you calling me it." I pull her forward but remember who's around so instead of kissing her I push her over on her side. She flops down beside me. "Neutral is a good choice." I murmured.

"Oh— okay. Can you call the list of people later today?" She scurried off my bed, grabbing her things between her arms. "Since you finally decided—" She threw a dirty sock at my face. "A color. I need to go to the store and pick up a few things." She walked towards the door. "Don't forget that it's really last minute and it's this Saturday at the Garden on main." Her eyebrows pinched together with a smile on her lips.

"Got it." I said, returning the smile.

"Thank you, Masy. Really." She disappeared out of my bedroom. I listen for the gust of wind that came with opening the front door. When the front door shut and I walked out to find Mila.

She was listening to music on her headphones while laying across the ground. I nudged her head with my foot. She shot me a death glare.

"What?" She hissed.
