As I glanced around the university, full of narcissist and self entitled people, I grabbed the small journal I have on the pocket of my skirt, planning to write about the thoughts that I have for today. I removed the cap of my pen and stroked down on the smooth pages of my lilac journal.

"Dear Diary,
It's June 16, a few days before our annual graduation, what I have in my mind was at ease that I'm finally about to leave this suffocating place-"

I was not able to finish what I'm about to write when Wayne grabbed my journal on a very disrespectful way, I immediately asked him to bring it back. "Bring it back Wayne, Hindi ako nakikipagbiruan sa'yo." I handed my palm for him to hand over my journal that was given to me as a gift by my mother when I turned 10. "What if.. I don't want to?" He teasingly raised my journal in the air.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance, I placed my arms and crossed them in front of my chest when an announcement– or rather a call was stated on the speakers of the entire campus.

"Miss Fleur Amaranth Senclaire Visokovich, kindly report to the dean's office." I glanced at Wayne, that is now staring at the speaker in front of the bleachers on the right side of the basketball court, I snatched my journal and placed it back immediately on my pocket.

"H-Hey– Hey! Fleur– Tingin mo ba hindi ko napapansin ang pagiwas mo sa'kin? Huh? Bakit mo ba ako iniiwasan?" Paghabol nito sakin, I turned around once more to answer his question. "Kahit sinong kakausap sa'yo ay aalis, sa asim mo ba naman na 'yan, try talking to a shower and soap." Agad na 'kong tumuloy ng hallway, where you can pass by the dean's office. I heard him call me once more, but I ignored him.

"Ano ba 'yan! Watch where you're going!" After I met the older brother who has not taken a shower for days, now I bumped into Ms. Pretend Pretty.
"I'm 'indeed' looking at the direction that I'm walking to, saka p'wede ba Winona? Tigilan mo ang paggaya sa katarayan ko, nagmumukha kang payaso sa karnibal." I walked pass her, ignoring whatever she has to say.

Winona is Wayne's younger sister, unlike her mvp player of the campus brother, Winona is a leech. Grabe kung maka-sipsip. On our circle, Wayne and I, Sylvester, Wisconsin, Yani and Claudia. Nakikisali lang siya, madalas kung nasaan kami nandoon rin siya. Grabe siyang makadikit sa tatlong lalaki ng grupo naming magkakaibigan, I don't know if she really is like that. Pero pati ba kuya niya gan'on niya kung kapitan?

I opened the door as I don't need any introduction, "Make this quick, I have to return to my class right this instant– babushka?!" My eyes widen as the corner of my eye saw my babushka, my grandfather. I ran and hugged him for an embrace to which he immediately replied with an even tighter hug. "Moy rebenok.. my darling.." He whispered.

I never thought he would come, he told me he might not be able to come here for my graduation and debut as he undergone an emergency for his knee after a shooting range accident, while he was bonding with his mates back in novisibirsk a province in russia, one of his mates accidentally shot him on the left knee.

I'm the one who pulled back first, "How can you even stand up?! You don't know how happy I am now that you're here! Where's grandma?" My eyes roamed around the office of my father but she's not around. "She's already at our mansion, waiting for you to come home."

Unlike my father, who has nothing in mind but to handle all of the business my grandfather built, babushka Dazmon actually took care of me. When mother was diagnosed with an uncurable rare cancer, father drowned himself with gambling and drinking, leaving me with my grandparents. My father, Damon left a huge debt on the company that my grandfather almost removed him as an heir.

Now that he's sober, he got to handle the main campus of VIU as the dean but not the fuel companies we have in russia and turkey.

"Why don't you take the day off and go shopping with me and your grandma Lancy? I'm sure your grandma misses you as much as I do." He greeted me with a wide smile, unlike when I last saw him he had a few white strands of hair growing but now he looks like he's a blond white man. "Oh come on papa don't spoil Fleur." My father disagreed, "No no, She is coming with me. Come now my dear." Without looking back, I embraced my grandfather's arm and walked outside of the dean's office. The moment we got outside, nandoon na ang mga guard niya.

To secure a safe travel from the school to the mansion, a convoy was initiated by grandfather's personal guard. I felt the sudden headache, a worst one. "Ahh grandfather? Sorry to ruin the excitement you have to take me shopping but– I don't feel well, let's go home and rest.." I leaned my head and closed my eyes, gawa nang marami akong iniisip.
Kahit pa na gusto 'kong bumili nang kung ano-ano sa mall, I'm not going to be able to enjoy the trip with an annoying headache.

"Sure darling, we can go home and spend the afternoon with your grandma instead." I did not responsed to his reply but I smiled, I felt better when I felt the kiss of my grandfather on my hair. I instantly feel the safest whenever he's around.

After a few minutes of travel, we got home but my grandmother was taking a nap from being jet lagged. I also went upstairs to my room to take a nap, it was 5 PM already when I woke up. The moment I walked downstairs I was greeted by my delighted grandmother from our sala. "My darling!" She pulled me in for an embrace, I smiled widely. "I heard that you had an intense headache, I prepared some mushroom soup for you to feel better. Come on let's eat ikaw na lang ang hinihintay namin."

Our dinner went fun and peaceful, we talked about my graduation, my foolish friends and my upcoming debut. Babushka openly talked about the memories we had when I was still young and we laughed for hours.

"So hija.. whom are you going to dance with as your last dance?" My grandmother Lancy asked, sino nga ba? I wrote the important details I want for the occasion and I no longer remember. "Last dance? Hmm I don't know– I don't remember actually. Maybe its grandpa." I replied before taking in a spoonfull of warm soup.

"Well hija, the last dance of a debutant is usually associated with the boyfriend of the debutant. I'm kind of asking if you already have someone around you know, a boyfriend perhaps? A girlfriend works fine too." Tumawa siya nang kaunti, I don't have one and I have no interests of having one. If so, it could only be Wayne that the people are assuming that I'm with but I'm not.

I swiftly changed the topic and made grandpa continue about his stories. Wayne is a manwhore, and a woman like me deserves a decent man at least.
After that they sent me off goodnight with a kiss on the forehead.

I was preparing to go to sleep when Wayne texted me.

'What does he want now?'

Message from: Wayne Jacoby
Sent: 8:37 PM
Message: "Hey! I'm at Wisconsin's club, come over Fleur."

"No, I told you I don't do clubs." I texted back and rested on my soft bed, I rolled around the bed to find where I'm most comfortable at. Until my eyelids finally felt heavy enough to sleep.

'What a night'
