-Tanjiro's Dream (Earlier)-
The sick boy walked with Tanjiro's spirits who lead him somewhere. He said, "You must be the incarnations of this boy's soul. The air is so clear, and it feels so good." They reached Tanjiro's spiritual core and it was yellow with a fire-like aura surrounding it. The boy asked the spirits, "Is that his spiritual core? Why are you showing it to me?" The spirit on his left simply pointed to it as the boy asked, "Did you bring me here because I was searching for it!" He dropped to his knees in guilt while saying, "No way! Even though I was trying to destroy it? Why would you..."
Just then, Tanjiro cut his neck causing the dream and the realm of the subconscious to close off. The boy cried as the realm roared. The water under him opened up making a huge hole under him. While falling, Tanjiro's spirit clung to him and emitted a bright light.

(A/N: Forgive me but I will not write Inosuke and Zenitsu's dreams with the children in them because I am lazy rn)
-Real World-
Tanjiro twitched and jumped up with a scream as he held his neck. He told himself, "I'm all right. I'm alive." Nezuko hummed as Tanjiro looked at her and said, "Nezuko! Are you okay?" Nezuko held her head in fear at Tanjiro's question. Tanjiro saw Zenitsu, Inosuke and Kyojuro sleeping. Although Kyojuro was sleeping, he was still holding the neck of the girl that was in his real of subconscious. He saw other people and asked himself, "Who are these people? They're all connected by the wrists with ropes. Rope... What's this? It's burned off. Nezuko's burning blood did it? It's ain't, but I'm picking up a demon's scent, too!", he said as he examined the rope. He sniffed it and realized something while saying, "This smell... The ticket!" He grabbed his ticket and thought, "I knew it. It's giving off a faint demon smell, too. We were put to sleep when our tickets were punched. This must be a demon's work! Did he unleash such a potent Blood Demon Art using just this faint scent?"
He was gonna cut the rope on Kyojuro's wrist but his instinct told him not to. He complied with his instincts and told Nezuko, "Nezuko! Do me a favour! I want you to burn everyone's rope off!" Nezuko nodded and started with Zenitsu to Inosuke and finally Kyojuro. Tanjiro grabbed Zenitsu and shook him while yelling, "Zenitsu! Wake up! Wake up, Zenitsu! You have to wake up!" He moved to Inosuke and shook him, "Wake up, Inosuke! Please! Inosuke..." With all the yelling, Nezuko went to Tanjiro and hummed to him. Tanjiro patted her head and said, "There, there... Sorry, okay? Thanks. You did a great job, Nezuko. It's no good. These two won't wake up. What can I do?" He stood up and walked to the aisle and said, "Rengoku-s-" He was cut off from the green kimono girl trying to stab him. He immediately grabbed Nezuko and took a step to the right. He asked, "What are you doing? Is a demon controlling her?" The girl warned, "Get out of our way! Thanks to you guys, we won't be able to have dreams!" Two others joined behind her while Tanjiro thought, "Is she acting of her own free will? This man, too?" The girl turned to the sick boy and said, "What do you think you're doing? If you're awake, you'd better help us out! You may have tuberculosis or whatever, but if you don't do your job, I'm going to tell him, and then, he won't show you any dreams, you hear me?" Tanjiro switched his gaze toward the boy (TB) who stood up with tears in his eyes. He asked himself, "Is he the one who was connected to me? Tuberculosis... He's sick. Poor man. What this demon did is unforgivable. He took advantage of their weak souls!" Tanjiro clenched his fist and apologizes, "Sorry. I have to fight." He lightly chopped the neck of the boy (who wasn't sick) and next to the yellow-coloured kimono girl. The girl stepped back in fear and screamed as she tried to stab Tanjiro. She missed and earned herself a light chop to the nape from Tanjiro as she fell to the floor. Tanjiro looked at them and said, "You want to stay inside a happy dream, don't you? I know. I wanted to stay inside my dream, too." Memories of his family's gruesome scene replayed in his mind as he said, "If only this was a dream..." The boy took a step while Nezuko ran to Tanjiro and hugged him. The boy thought, "Until I touched his heart... I was willing to hurt others... if it meant I could escape from the pain of this illness. But now..." Tanjiro saw him staring at him and asked, "Are you all right?" The boy said, "Thank you. Be careful." Tanjiro was confused but said, "Right. Nezuko!"
Both Tanjiro and Nezuko made it outside between the carts. Tanjiro was immediately overwhelmed by the Demon's scent as he grabbed his nose. He thought, "The smell is overpowering! So heavy! The demon's scent is so strong even in this strong wind! Was I asleep in such an awful scent? Even if each car was closed off and airtight, I can't believe I was? I was useless! The demon's upwind... Is he in the first car?" He flew onto the roof of the cart and told Nezuko, "Nezuko, don't come! Stay away from me and wait! Go wake everyone up!" Tanjiro then took off running toward the front. He saw the demon standing there as it turned around and said, "What? You're awake? Good morning! You could've stayed asleep." Tanjiro was angered and thought, "It was him!"

-A Little Secret-
Tanjiro wanted to know what he was. It was something he wanted to know ever since he was smaller. Second only to spending time with his family, of course.
