Angelina's pov

I followed her and found her sitting on a rock looking at the beach.

"Hey, are you okay" I asked sitting beside her keeping a notable distance.

"Did you come here to show off the ring that he proposed to you" she said rudely wiping her tears which is falling from her eyes continuously.

"No, I just came to see if you were alright" I said. We sat there in silence until she calmed down.

"I loved Kai since I met him in our meeting years back" Annie said making me look at her. She was looking ahead lost in the ocean.

"He was the only man who treated me like a respectful women. Every guy only wanted me for my body and my money. But Kai was different. Hence, I fell for him. When I think about it now, I feel ashamed that I used the same body and money to get him. I did everything I can to pursue him and make him mine. But not once he crossed his line. And that only made me fall for him more. He warned me many times but I wanted him to atleast give me a chance" she stopped and looked down.

"When our family came to his house and he said he had a girlfriend. I was heartbroken and tried to move on but I couldn't. So I didn't meet him for few months until for a business meeting. I just couldn't stop myself from stop loving him. So I did what my mind said. To seperate you both and I would take your place" she ran a hand in her hair.

"I am really sorry but I couldn't stop myself. I got to know from his PA about your vacation and planned everything to crash it. I tried to get Kai's attention but it was no use. And today I got to know something. Even if you are here or not, Kai will always love you and he can't love anyone other than you. His heart always belongs to you and no one can take it. Not even me or any girl in this world" she said looking at me giving a small smile.

"If any other woman would be in your place, they would have slapped me and made me run away knowing I have feelings for her men. But you agreed to let me stay, cared about me and now you are sitting beside me asking if I am fine. Now I know why Kai loves you so much" she said.

"I was jealous but I trust Kai. I know he wouldn't do anything to hurt me. Love can be painful sometimes but you should move on once you know the person you love doesn't love you back" I said. She nod her head.

"This proposal gave me a clarity that I should move on. I can't force something when they don't like. I knew it was right but I didn't want to believe that. I am really sorry for crashing into your vacation and interfering in your life" she said looking down. I pat her arm and she looked at me.

"I am glad you learnt your mistakes and apologizing for it. Some man will be out there to treat you good. I wish only best for you" I said giving her a smile. She smiled back at me.

I heard my name being called by Alice. We both turned at that.

"You should go and celebrate with your family. Congratulations on the proposal" Annie said smiling at me. I thanked her before walking to our family leaving her alone.

"Where were you" Kai asked when I joined them. I looked back at Annie and saw her walking to the villa. I looked back at Kai.

"Went to get some fresh air" I said.

"Come let's go" he said walking to the opposite side of our villa.

"Where are we going? And what about everyone...." I was out off my Josephine.

"Stop thinking about us and go have your own time. We will look after Luna" she said pushing me towards Kai.

I grabbed his hand and he led us the way.
