**Ophelia POV
Lark had moved into the house recently, as our mom was still in her coma due to Desdemona.
And of course dad would only come home to shower, eat and change.
I know she's an adult, but she's only 19. Lark still needs her parents and someone to be with her after all this stuff.
So...the rangers offered her to come stay here and since she was my sister...who was I to say no?
I hated how sometimes my parents got buried in their work, forgetting us not on purpose but because we never saw them.
"Why are you still up?" I heard and saw Jo standing in the doorway of the living room.
"Can't sleep." I replied.
My wife sighed and came over to where I was sitting on the couch and sat on my lap, hugging me to give me comfort.
"I know it's because of your sister." She said, kissing my temple briefly.
"Not just her. My mom, Desdemona could be anyone nowadays. It's just a whole lot I don't like to think about." I argued.
She looked at me, "You don't control it. You never did, so don't blame yourself for this. You're doing what you can."
I grabbed her hand and replied, "Playing a mom to now six teenagers? I basically am acting as a parent when we have none."
"Right now, you're not. You're my wife, a sister. So don't worry about things that are beyond your control. So come back to bed, please." Jo told me.
I sighed, and I kissed her softly.
"Alright, fine." I breathed out as she got off me and led me back to bed.

I woke up again earlier than I wanted, I could hear the weights in the downstairs gym being moved and I knew Nora was up working out.
Maybe Caleb was with her, maybe Lark, I don't know.
I really didn't care at this point who it was though.
I was used to it.
"Why must they be up at the crack of Dawn?" Jo mumbled sleepily, hugging me as we laid in bed.
She worked late last night at her restaurant.
"They're trying to be normal." I argued.
She shook her head, "No, that's not normal. That's the opposite of normal."
Couldn't disagree, I never was one to get up early to train even if I still had to.
However, now that I was awake, I couldn't go back to sleep so easily, so I left the bed as Jo went back to sleep, clearly not really bothered by the noises anymore.
So I got up to go to the bathroom to shower and as I turned on the light, I couldn't help but notice someone in the corner of my mirror.
I thought it might have been Jo, coming up to see me, but when I turned around there was no one there.
Why was no one there?
How could someone be in the mirror corner, watching me and not be there in the first place?
It was like...they didn't want me to see them.
**Lark POV
Caleb made breakfast in the morning, which was very normal apparently as he had taken up cooking when he was with his moms.
I guess he did it to make himself closer to them.
He was one of the few here that had decent parents and wasn't happy they were gone.
