**Lacey POV
My face hurt.
My throat was on fire.
And my heart felt as if it was torn in two because of all that was happening.
I needed to kill Morrigan.
However, I couldn't do that while she was possessing my husband.
I can't.
Who needed me now...were my children.
Walking away from the group, I walked towards my office as I knew that Ophelia and Lark would be in there for privacy.
Opening the door, I saw Ophelia shaking her head as Lark had tears running down her face.
"Are you two okay?" I asked, coming in and closing the door.
They looked at me, shocked I was here.
"Stupid question, none of us are alright." I said, sitting down next to them, looking at them and making sure they were okay.
"Mom..." Ophelia started.
I sighed, not saying anything for a minute.
This was the hardest thing ever.
"I know....I know we haven't been the greatest parents. And it's too late to try and be better parents, but I know...."
Lark stood up and looked at me.
Her eyes rimmed in red.
She looked ready to start stuttering at the amount of crying she's done.
Then she hugged me and continued to cry.
"You're here. You've been there in the big moments. You're here now." She sobbed, and I hugged her tighter.
I thought she hated me for not being there.
I wasn't sure I was the best parent.
Sometimes it was hard for me to be there, especially small things, but I did do my very best.
Both of us did.
"I could have been better. I should have...we should have been or..."
"Stop, mom, just stop." Ophelia said and joined in on our hug.
It was nice and I started crying a bit myself.
"We love you and yes, I'm hard on you both. But that's because I didn't want to be her mom. You were always there, supporting us both. We love you and we will make sure to get your rock back." Ophelia promised.
We all started crying together.
Cam was my rock, my girls were my stabilizers.
He let me know where reality was and my girls were the ones to keep me here.
"You keep me sane. He's my navigator, and I'm lost without him." I admitted.
"We are going to get him back. We will, we have to because he's depending on us." Ophelia assured us.
We would show Morrigan and Nublius just how dangerous we were when they took something away from the Reed women.
There was a knock on the door.
Hunter.
"Frost is calling, she has something you might wanna see." He said.
Then he looked at us, all crying and hugging.
"Is this a bad time?" Hunter asked.
We fixed ourselves and said, "Let's go back to work. Cam is not going to be saved by himself."
