**Nora POV
It had been quiet since Morrigan was destroyed.
Clearly it had been a mood booster for Lacey and everyone in her family, as that pain was no longer there.
However, I knew Desdemona was waiting.
Waiting for the right time to strike.
Something was going to happen and I knew it was going to be the hardest fight we had to date.
Our parents were still missing, hopefully Desdemona was lying about them being gone for good and they were okay.
"You okay?" Caleb asked me.
We were sitting in the gym or I should say I was, waiting for the weights to be free so I could use them.
And I guess my face said it all.
I was worried.
"Things are going towards the end. I can feel it and I am just...not sure no it'll end, you know?" I admitted to Caleb.
He nodded and put the weights he had down and sat next to me, trying to comfort me.But he didn't do anything.
Hmm, I wasn't sure how I felt about that.
"Our parents will come back, I know it. We'll beat Desdemona and our parents will come back. And they'll be in awe over what we've done." Caleb said, clearly teasing me over that last part.
I smiled a bit.
Which he laughed at, "There's that smile. See? Not so bad, is it?"
I shook my head, who knew Caleb could make me feel better after all this time?
"You're right. This is ending soon. And we will win, no matter what." Caleb assured me.
But I knew something bad was going to happen before this was going to end.
**3rd POV
"I want Lacey Reed! Do not question me, Beryl!" Desdemona screamed at her generals, all of them cowering in fear.Beryl was being arrogant and said something she shouldn't have.
She questioned Desdemona.
Wrong move.
Desdemona was in the same host as before, a young woman that was clearly just in the wrong place at the wrong time to be made her host.
Her orange eyes made her menacing.
The demoness walked up to her general and glared at her, "Do you think you know better than me?"
"No, mistress. I was just merely suggesting...." Beryl was cut off as Desdemona stared at her even harder than before.
Beryl shrank as this happened.
Thanatos narrowed his eyes at the scene.
Something was wrong.
Looking around, there was a murmuring in his mind.
It wasn't the voice of his host, he was silent.
No, it was another voice.
Someone else was trying to get within his mind, free his host from his control.
He wouldn't allow it.
"Ugh, you're all worthless! The rangers are still alive and their idiotic parents I thought would break them. Why hasn't it??" Desdemona yelled at them.
This was one of the first times she had mentioned the parents before.
The parents...the generals weren't sure where they were.
