**Lark POV

I sat up quickly, confused at where I was.

I was in the middle of the park before I was hit by a monster.

A spider monster.

Now...

Sitting up, I was in the middle of what looked to be a lobby or a restaurant of a lodge?

My mom HATED the cold, practically despised it ever since Aunt Frost and her were once the same person at one point.

There was no way we would go here, and my dad would certainly not push the issue with my mom.

I had a book in my hand and saw it was snowing outside.

I've lost my damn mind.

"Lark, it's New Year's Eve. Enough reading." I heard and my mom showed up, taking the book I wasn't reading out of my hand.

She was dressed up in a nice purple sweater and a black skirt.

She wasn't wearing her work uniform, it was so weird.

"What? I wasn't..." I started.

But she looked at me, almost like she knew I was doing something I really wasn't doing.

"Remember the teen party? Your sister laid out an outfit for you. Come on." She urged.

Teen...party?

I frowned, "Party? I don't...can I have the book?"

That last part just came out, like someone or something else spoke through me.

My mom smirked and gave it to me, which I took and stood up, following her back to wherever I was supposed to be going to change for this...party.

**Caleb POV

"Help! Help her!" I cried out.

I carried Lark into the cave as she was currently in a coma caused by Thanatos.

Of course we knew she was his number one enemy after her first ranger fight with him and beating him alone.

Her dad got there first, "What happened?"

I put her on the bed as the others came in and started talking at the same time, which made Cam narrow his eyes and get angry, "STOP! Nora, talk!"

We looked at Nora, "Thanatos took us by surprise as we were at the park. We didn't even have time to morph before he was there."

Cam stared at us, clearly very upset and taking very deep breaths as he was trying to not yell.

Then he looked at Lark.

She didn't look hurt, just asleep.

Her stone was reacting to her being in this coma, blue webbing surrounding her body due to what Thanatos did to her.

But...she was smiling.

Lacey then came in, walking slowly on a cane and asked, "I wonder what she's dreaming about."

**Lark POV

I was forced to go to this stupid party, which honestly just looked liked a bunch of kids standing around.

Why did my mom make me go?

I was 19, not 17.

And I couldn't help but feel the situation was familiar somehow, like I'd seen it before, not because it was a part of my life, but for something else.

Anyways, I had brought that book that I had no interest in reading, and actually started reading it in the middle of the busy room.

I really just didn't want to be looked at, which was not something I normally thought of.
