Casey pov.

Sunday I had plans with Andy that were actually her idea. I was surprised from the early morning call I recieved asking for a full day with me. However it wasn't only with me because I was informed that Jemma and Naiomi were to join us but that wasn't going to spoil my joy. Andy wanted my company for an entire afternoon and evening and that was alright with me. Though I was in the dark as to the specific details the day entailed, I welcomed the surprise.

As I pulled up curbside in front of Andy's house I noticed the mailman distributing mail inside the black mail box on the lawn. I took the liberty of removing it's contents once the cart pulled away, and bringing them to the door. I noticed the top of the pile held a letter from UCLA and instantaneously I began to get excited for Andy. I skipped up the four steps on the stoop and pushed the doorbell. A moment or two passed before the door was being pulled open by the familiar face of Nick, Andy's younger brother.

His eyes scrutinized me impassively before he nodded his head to me, "Sup' Casey?"

Definitely shocked he remembered my name but pleased all the same, "Hello Nick, how are you?"

He shrugged his scrawny shoulders and stepped out of the way as Andy came to the door. He dismissed himself at the arrival of his sister and disappeared inside of the house, Andy pursed her lips after him but smiled when her eyes met mine.

"Don't you look beach-y," She observed as she stepped out onto the stoop to hug me.

I had to use one arm to hug her snugly to my body being that my other hand was full with her mail. Still it was a gentle and warm embrace and with her waist being so small I could touch her ribs on the entire opposite side of her body. I adored that. What I adored even more than that was the fact that we had made it to a point in our...er...relationship where Andy was comfortable giving me regular kisses.

However I was still throughly taken back when she wrapped her arms around my neck and covered my mouth with hers. I respond to it a half second later fighting the need to groan against her warm, sweet lips. I expected it to be a brief encounter but I was so wrong, she deepened it cupping the back of my neck in her soft hand tilting her head to the side. Instinctively I tightened my hold on her and pulled her into me more firmly, falling into the sensation of her skilled lips against mine.

God I love her.

When she finally did pull away I immediately wished we were in the privacy of my room. I blushed at the wayward turn my thoughts had taken due to a kiss and cleared my throat, bowing my head away from her. I released my hold on her and brought my hand up with the mail.

"I uh, I got your mail for you."

Andy reluctantly took her hands from my neck and retrieved the envelopes. Examining the top envelope her eyes widened and shot back up to mine.

"Oh my god this is a letter from UCLA...what if it's a rejection letter?"

I shot her skepticism down immediately, urging her to open it.

"Don't be ridiculous Andy, you were taking senior classes your freshman year. You're the most intelligent girl I know, open the letter."

I watched her jugular bob up and down as she swallowed hard, sliding her finger under the flap to tear open the envelope. I crossed my fingers behind my back out of her line of sight and chanted silently in my head. While I held no doubt that the letter she was reading was an acceptance letter, you could never be too sure. Her blue eyes scanned over the words carefully before the closed completely for about twenty seconds. My heart sank into my gut and I knew in that moment that she didn't get in.
