Andy pov.
Drew was pretty light on his feet which was surprising, but I still didn't enjoy myself. Mom, Nick, and Drew's parents were watching the two of us the whole time; true to his word he kept me on the dance floor for four dances. The third song was nearly over and I was hoping the next one would be short, that way I could get away from him and hopefully convince my mom to leave early.
"Did you know that I would be at this event?" I asked him as we moved around the floor.
Drew feighned a shocked expression and gasped dramatically.
"What's this? You're actually talking to me? It's a freaking miracle!"
I rolled my eyes at him.
"Just answer the question."
He smirked and shook his head.
"No, I didn't know you'd be here as crazy as that may sound."
I quirked an eyebrow at his response.
"Then why weren't you surprised to see me?"
His smirk didn't falter in the least.
"I saw you and your mom when you walked in, you weren't hard to miss. After all you're the only one in here without black and white on, you just had to go with a bit of red."
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"I didn't choose this ridiculous dress, my mom did; and if you saw me how come you didn't harass me on sight?"
He chuckled and rolled his eyes up in the air.
"I didn't know talking to someone was considered harrassment, and besides I had ass kissing to do just like you did; that is what we're here for. Not to mention the fact that our parents aren't aware that we know eachother and I wasn't sure you wanted them to."
Well, that wasn't the answer I expected, it seemed too...thoughtful.
Before I could give a lame response, he spoke again.
"This is a yearly thing and I'm curious as to why this is the first time you're here."
I nodded my head in my mom's direction subtly.
"She finally got invited to it and decided to drag us along; apparently her boss waved the six year working term...How many times have you been to this?"
He sucked on his bottom lip and thought for a moment.
"Every year since I was eight, so ten times I guess. Ten times too many."
I grimaced for him.
"I take it, it gets worse every year?"
He nodded but a slow grin made its way on his face.
"But according to everyone here I only get better with age."
I snorted.
"You've had years to perfect your charm and become a world class kiss ass, of course they like you."
His smirk returned as he puckered an eyebrow.
"Aww what's the matter? You upset that I won't kiss yours?"
For the first time it was my turn to smirk.
"Nope, but I can tell you're upset that I don't stroke your ego."
Amused clearly, he moved his head to my ear.
"You're wrong Andy, I'd prefer you never to do that."
