To say I was impressed would be the biggest understatement of the century, I was beyond astonished that Drew had went to these lengths to plan out a 'classy' as he so quaintly puts it; date. Still there was a nagging thought in the back of my mind that told me there was something coming, something that only Drew would do. While I hadn't known him long, I did notice that no matter how harmless and normal a day out with him seemed. He always found a way to make his mark on it and turn it to something else entirely. Though he was showcasing a more thoughtful and romantic side of his personality, he was the same suggestive, arrogant Drew staring at me across the table with a wry smile on his handsome face.
It took only a moment for me to catch on to his reference to me wearing his royal blue button down. I tried with all my might to keep from replaying the after affects of wearing that shirt, but I failed and had to cross my legs to ease the sudden throbbing. I avoided his gaze and focused entirely on my meal choices.
"Good god," I exclaimed when my eyes landed on the price next to the Albacore dish I was considering, "this is robbery, Drew."
He peeked his obsidian eyes over his menu and chuckled at my expression, "Are you paying for this meal?"
"No," I frowned at the question.
"So quit worrying about the prices and let me be the man. Order whatever you want." He reprimanded me with a stupid smirk on his face.
Sighing in resignation I continued scanning the golden caligraphy against the red pages. I noticed that they were all three course meals and it furthered my appreciation for his planning. I smiled secretively to myself, the beast was definitely pleased.
"Good evening folks, my name is Ramone and I will be your server this evening, can I start you off with drinks?" The two of us abandoned our menus and smiled at the bronze skinned, raven haired man who wore all white from head to toe. He was pretty attractive with a stalky build.
Drew gestured for me to go first and it was all I could do not to applaud him for being so mannerly. "I'll have a sparkling water."
"Very good ma'am," Ramone smiled at me and turned to Drew, "And for you sir?"
"Rasberry iced tea will be fine," Drew spoke to the man while keeping his eyes trained on me.
"Wonderful, I will be right back with your beverages and allow you a few minutes to go over your menus." Ramone dispersed and left Drew and I to ourselves.
Boy did I love his new haircut, he looked damn good with it draped over his smouldering eyes that way. I never thought I'd say it but black was definitely his shade, his olive skin against his shirt was a stunning contrast. Not to mention his ensemble made him look older and really, really sexy. His tongue peeked out of his mouth and slid over his bottom lip before he began sucking on it. The urge to leap across the table and suck on that lip myself was killing me.
"Hungry?" I almost couldn't hear him over my heart pumping in my ears.
"Yes," I nodded tearing my gaze from his mouth and meeting his eyes, they were glittering with something, "I'm starving to be honest."
I don't know if Drew could tell or even if I could but somewhere in my subconcious I knew I wasn't referring particularly to food. Since the day he had asked me on this date and informed me that I would need an overnight bag, my mind has been running wild. There was something ominous in the word 'overnight' tons of things could happen. And all of the things I was thinking of were extremely enjoyable.
A slight smirk touched his face, "Do you know what you have an appetite for?" His voice took on that low tone that did something to me.
I shifted in my seat but held steady eye contact, "More than a few things come to mind. You?" Uttering that question also gave away my answer, I wanted a full course of Kessler.
