Drew pov.
I was cleaning my house. Yeah, the only thing I cleaned was my room so this was definitely unusual behavior. In some messed up way I guess it was an attempt to keep my mind off of the inevitable. The fact that I had been avoiding Andy since I took her home after our date night/ sleepover last weekend. I went against my word, I promised if things had gotten out of hand that I would tell her about my addiction, but I chickened out. When I had her underneathe me with that startled look on her face when she saw my panic, I couldn't bring the words out of my throat.
The rest of the night after that incident was quiet and awkward and I was all too happy to get her home the next morning. Hell I ended up sleeping on the couch in the entertainment room to avoid a conversation. I could tell by her silence that she was confused and probably a little frustrated, it must have added insult to injury when she didn't hear from me afterward. But, I couldn't think of an explanation to give her other than the truth.
I didn't think she was ready for that baggage yet.
"Wow, you're cleaning the whole house, what's the occassion?" My dad came strolling through the living room as I finished wiping down the entertainment system.
His casual crisp attire was not lost on me, he looked as if he was going golfing, "You tell me, you actually don't look constipated today." I snickered at myself.
He gave me a sarcastic look and smiled, straightening his collar, "I'm going sailing today if you must know."
My brows rose up and I tossed the towel over my shoulder, "Oh yeah, having a nice day out with the old lady then?"
He shook his head and waved his hand dismissively,"No, no, your mother is off doing whatever it is she does. I'm going to close a deal but also going to have fun along the way."
I pursed my lips and headed for the hall closet to put away my cleaning supplies, "Cool, well good luck pops, hope you kill it."
"Thank you, I'll probably be home late, so don't wait up. If your mother makes it home before me, please pass along the message."
I nodded and followed him out the door after grabbing the trash, "No problem. Enjoy yourself."
My dad climbed into his sleek black Beamer and pulled off, I dropped the bag of trash into the bin on the edge of the sidewalk. I was about to turn around and head back inside when I heard the distinct and unmistakeable tone of a female voice.
"Well look who's alive." It was Andy, "I was beginning to think you fell off the face of the earth."
I was surprised to say the least because she never popped up at my house and it was way out of character for her. However I couldn't hide my smirk at the thought of her missing me so much that she had to see why I hadn't called her. And it didn't hurt that she looked incredible too. She was wearing a shrunken red cardigan and a pair of dark denim shorts that showed off her toned legs, with a pair of converse to match. Her hair was slightly wavy and a little messy.
I gestured to my body and stuffed my hands in my pockets, "I'm all here, what brings you by on this nice day?"
