I can't really jump or do crazy things, but I just enjoy the moment. I feel Patri's eyes on me more than once, but I try hard not to look back. At some point, I'm singing with Claudia on some Barca songs I don't know the lyrics of and as we laugh loudly at my bad Catalan skills, I feel two arms wrapping around my neck preventing me from escaping. I automatically hold on the person's waist because I can't put weight on my ankle.
"Please, stop ignoring me." Patri pleads softly in my ear and I nod against her chest, enjoying the first true contact we share since the bus ride. "I don't want to fight with you, and I know I said you are the scared one, but I am as well. More than I want to admit. I don't want to lose you."
"Me neither." I admit and she kisses my hair protectively.
"Carla guessed." She sighs and I frown.
"Guessed what?" I ask.
"The reason I've finally had the balls to break up with her..." Patri explains. "She told me she always thought we'll end up together..."
"Us?" I chuckle shocked by the comment.
"Yeah..." Patri giggles. "Not awkward at all, right?"
"Not even a bit..." I roll my eyes.
"Julie!" One of our staff members calls me. "Jill Roord is waiting for you."
"Coming." I yell back. "I have to go. Go to the shower, Pepino."
"Yes." She smiles a bit and stops me before I leave. "No more ignorance, right?"
"We'll see about that." I joke around playfully and she glares at me. "Kidding, no more ignorance."
"Great." She seems happy with that, and I walk out the locker room.
Once I am with Jill, I tell her about my talk with Ale and my moment with Patri. She gives me advice and after some light talk, I join my teammates to the bus. I sit next to Aitana and we discuss about the loss and about my ankle. The flight back home is not bad, nothing much happen but we all know a new challenge is coming our way... Olympique Lyonnais... this might be the death of me.
