Moons Naptime

Even if I couldn't relax in my two days off, it was really necessary. Especially after all this kidnapping and eclipse thing. Thanks to my brother, my fever was finally gone and I was top fit! Yet it was fear who didn't let me pass over the daycare door. How they will react? Sunny will probably jump on me and apologizes so many times that this wouldn't be even necessary. I felt in my pocket my pills and sighed. Just don't have to forget to take my medicine again. Suddenly there was a big crash and I quickly opened the door. The box with glitter glue landed exactly on Sunny's hat, who tried to calm the crying children down.
„I thought no glitter glue till I'm back?"
„Sunshine! I-We- I am so sorry! We both really-„
„Sush. Let's just forget about the accident, ok? How about I clean you first after calming the kids?"
„But-!"
„Hey Little ones! Sunny didn't hurt himself. You all know how much he just loves glitter glue! If you want, we can all wash him together!"

„S-slow down!"
„It's not my fault that you played with the glue already!"
I hardly rubbed Sunny's head, while the children tried to get it out of his clothes.
„Weren't your clothes made to be resistant against any paint or glue?"
„Yes indeed! My rays are different though..."
„Well it's going to be bad if glitter glue gets stuck in your head. We would need to go to parts and services again."
„There is no way for that!...There was no glue next to my rays, right?"
„Hmm...can't say for sure. The most of it was near it, but nothing in as far as I can tell. If something does get stuck, tell me."
Sunny looked away and shrunk his rays a bit.

After lunch we went back and prepared everything for Naptime. Sunny was extremely nervous, since the last time that happened, it wasn't exactly going out well. The kids that are also longer than a year here, are also looking worried.
„I'm so nervous...and so is Moon! W-what if something happens again?! We must let the lights on! It can't- I can't risk-„
„Sunny! Moon is already behaving better and we said we try. I will sit in the sleeping area next to the switch in case something does happen. Trust Moon a bit, okay?"
He nodded and helped me to bring the children into the sleeping area.
„Sunny and me can see you all are really tired after a good meal! So our friend came to visit today!"

I flipped the light switch and Moon stood in the nearly dark room. It was weakly glowing thanks to the neon stars and Moons clothing. He looks nervous around and tried to speak, but he couldn't say a word.
„This is our dear friend Moon! He was feeling sick a little while, but he is feeling better! Now, do you want to listen to a good night story from Moon?"
Some of them said yes in excitement, but some weren't sure to trust Moon again. Guess there is no other choice. I walked towards Moon and hugged him. His eye lights went brighter while he hugged back.
„See? You can hug Moon as much as Sunny! He would love the company."
„I...uh...yes..."

Everyone was settled in less than five minutes and Moon told them a story. It was nice to see how some children went to him and slept on him. I smiled slightly and hum a melody. Sadly I couldn't move, since one or two were getting their pillows next to me. But I didn't mind. It's part of my job and how can you be annoyed by those cute little demons? But it really seems like Moon is enjoying himself. As if he hates kids. He loves them just as much as Sunny.
„I...I'm really sorry Y/N...I never wanted to make you cry or feeling out of place...or hurt you..."
„You...you didn't know. I shouldn't have acted up so much. It's just...a really sensitive topic."
„I'm sorry...are you feeling better?"
„Would be a lie if I would say yes, but it's going to be okay."
„Oh...why did you start crying-„

I shushed him and shook my head.
„That is no conversation with children. Some of them might be still awake and I don't want angry parents at my back."
„Is it that bad?"
„No, but society treats it that way."
„I don't know what you mean by that, but it is another human thing, right?"
„I mean...only we humans criticize and make gossip, so it's good that you are different. Nobody likes snitches."
„What are snitches?"
„People that tell things they weren't supposed to tell."
„So a Karen?"
„I don't even want to know how you got that word in your memory chip, but not snitches."
