I'm on my way to the parking lot ng Starbuck's when suddenly someone, an oddly familiar voice caught my attention. Hindi ko na Sana bibigyang pansin pa, knowing she's not even look after me, o kahit kausapin man lang ako, after what happened. I know, I shouldn't feel this, but in the end, I just found myself walking towards her direction.
"Hey! Something's wrong?" I asked, habang papalapit ako sa direksyon niya. Who wouldn't asked her that? Halos iuntog na niya sarili niya sa pader out of frustration, I guess. Bigla naman siyang napatigil sa ginagawa niya nang makita makita niya ako. "Luke?!" Sambit niya ng mahinang tinig. "Hey! What are you doing in here?" Dagdag pa niya. Lumapit ako sa kanya and hand her a hand para sa mga dalahin niya, "huh, nice to see you too." I said, sarcastically.
Napatawa naman siya ng mahina sa sinabi ko. "Libre mo naman ako, coffee?" She asked me, sabay ngiti. "Sorry Angel, but I just had one already." I said, napansin ko naman ang pagbabago ng aura niya. So, hindi ko talaga siya matitiis. "Basta ba, libre mo ako." I said. While handling her my hands para igayak siya papasok sa cafeteria. "Creme frappucino?" Tanong niya, and I nod. Napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako, so I really couldn't stay away from her, huh?
Pagkapasok pa lamang namin, agad namang napatingin sa amin ang mga costumers na naroon, oh, I almost forgot, kagagaling lang pala namin ni Messy dito, and now people are staring at me, kasi kanila lang iba ang kasama ko. I look around to check if El is around, mahirap na baka mabiktima nanaman ako, ok lang sana, but not in front of Ange--- I, I mean Gabrielle.
"You can take your seat now, Luke." Sambiut ni Gabrielle sa akin. That's when I snapped out from what I was thinking. "So, how--how are you na?" I asked sabay tingin ng diretso sa kanya. After getting our orders, I faced her. And she gulped many times. "Gabrielle--" I didn't get the chance to continue what am I saying dahil sa bigla pagsalit niya. "Gabrielle?" Pang-gagaya niya. "Bakit hindi na ata Angel?" She said in soft tone. I can feel my hands were shaking. I inhaled sharply." It's not right, to call you that anymore. I- I mean, you're Kiefers' girlfriend now, diba? Napaka-awkward naman if I'd still call you like that." I said, sabay tingin sa kanya. "I-i'm so sorry, Luke." She paused. "Pero kasi sa totoo lang, mahal ko na talaga si Kiefer, una pa lang. But-" "yeah, I can see that." Pagtutuloy ko. She held my hand and smiled at me. "Luke, hindi ko ginusto 'yong ginawa ko, I'm sorry. I was so confused that time, and Kiefer, he's making it so hard for me. So I came up with a plan." "At yon ay ang gamitin ako, ganon ba yon, Gabrielle?" I asked with a dismay. "You can say that. I won't mind, I know i deserved that. Kulang pa nga yan e dapat nga sana pinapulis mo pa ako." Pang -aalo niya, I smiled at her and squeeze her hands. "You don't have to worry, last I checked, I'm fine and still breathing? Yeah, you can say that. But were cool right?" Sabi ko sakanya. My voice were a bit shaky and out of conviction. "Luke, can we still be friends?" Tanong niya ng may pag-aalangan. Na-friendzone nanaman ang lagay ko. "Ano bang meron sa iba na wala sa akin? I'm macho naman diba? And very good looking as well, and of course very much available. Why is it that every time I liked someone, sila naman ang hindi pwede? That happens every damn time na may gustuhin ako." Pagbibiro ko. "Luke, you have all, as in lahat ng hahapin ng babae sa isang lalake, not only that, physically, you're the perfect gentleman. All in all, you're the perfect epitome of a prince charming just like every lady wants their partners should be." She explained sabay pahid ng luha na akmang tutulo mula sa mga Mata niya. "Kung naiba nga lang ang sitwasyon at nauna kitang nakilala? Maybe then, ikaw ang minahal ko, cause just so you know, Kiefer is way far sa pagiging gentleman mo. Madali kang màhalin Luke, I know that. Kasi muntikan na nga din ako e." She even said and laugh at me. Napatawa na din ako sa turan niya. "Don't worry about me, as you have said I have all, muntikan ka pa nga diba? Sayang lang at hindi umubra. But still, no harm done. Its my choice anyway. But then, hindi naman naten parehong ginusto 'yon, I just wanted you to be happy, and i know, I can make you happy. Pero ikaw ang hindi sasaya sa akin, dahil sa iba ka nakatingin." Mahaba kong saad, while she just sat there looking at me, as feeling every words I say. "I want you to be happy Angel. And I'm happy for you dahil you took the courage to face him, and be happy with him. Kahit paano ok na ako, cause I know, you're in good hands, Kiefer is a good man, and you deserve him, dahil pareho niyong mahal ang isa't-isa, masyado lang kasi kayong indenial kaya natagalan ang kwento niyo. Arte kasi, tapusin niyo na para sa akin naman ang susunod." I said with a hint of smile. Sabay na naming pagtawa, ang maririnig sa buong cafeteria.
"I-I don't know what to say, Luke." She said with a teary eye. Napahikbi pa siya habang papatayo ang close our gaps to hug me. Then, I hugged her back.
"That's how much I love you, that I am willing to do everything just to see you don't get hurt. And I never, as in ever regret the time where, I met the most amazing girl in my life. You changed everything in me Angel. You are the most exquisite girl I've ever known. And I will not get tired of thanking God that He blessed me to have you in my life. Though, hanggang friend nga lang, Pero naniniwala ako, merong isa dyan, nakakalat lang, na nakalaan para sa akin.
So you don't have to worry. You should congratulate me, in advance dahil tao na ako! I'm capable of loving. And now, hintayin na lang naten 'yong mamahalin ko. Na-late lang." I said sabay tawa.
