The buzzing of air vents and the smell of chlorine filled the building, walls of white concrete and tile. They had just walked in, the heavy double doors closing behind them as the sun spilled through the windows that were on either side of each door.
The hallway was short, a couple of steps and one would be faced with rows of clear water and diving boards. The tiled floor spread all around each pool, and to the right there was a sky blue door, leading to the changing rooms. Then further down the tile there was an opening in the walls, and Quackity hadn't been here before, so he doesn't know what that room was.
Forward, there was a wall blocking whatever was on the other side across from all the water, and a little archway that led to the other side. To the left there was a room that led into a nice lazy river, Quackity could see the start of it from where he stood. Then out in the left corner, there was a dark stained glass wall, behind it a room full of tables and chairs, food bars on each side of the wall.
Tubbo walked past Quackity, a bag hanging off his shoulder before he dropped it to the ground. "Holy shit, that's a lot of pools."
"Indeed it is," Sam replied shortly, not facing any of them as he messed with something on the front doors. Quackity sighed to himself, letting the others walk ahead as he went back over to Sam.
"Whatcha doing?" He asked, a kind smile on his face as he leaned on the wall. Sam faced him momentarily, sniffing before standing up straight.
"Making sure all the settings are good," He answered with a tip of his head, "I forgot how strong the smell of all this chlorine stuff is."
Quackity nodded, glancing out the window with squinted eyes before facing Sam again, "I forgot you've been here before."
"Helped build it with Foolish."
"You told me."
Sam lifted a hand above his head to rest on the door, the other gripping onto a clipboard. Quackity frowned, eying the clipboard and huffing as he looked up to Sam.
"You know this is a vacation right?"
"I know. I just bring it everywhere. Like you and your beanies," Sam answered with a hum, leaning his head forward as he looked at the ground, "I won't be doing work while we are on a trip."
"Good," Quackity crossed his arms, the bag in his hands slipping for a second, "We both need this break, don't you think?"
Before anything could be said a group of screams came from the changing room, followed by yelling and bickering. They both turned their heads around, confused at the sudden noise.
"What the fuck? Did you let that in? What the fuck-"
Tubbo was cut off by Fundy, who was equally as loud, "What do you mean I brought that in? Why would I do that? Just get it out- shit- No! Get it away from me!"
"What the hell is going on," Sam muttered, glancing over at Quackity who shrugged in return. Both looked back when they heard Jack yelling as well.
"What the hell? Don't look at me! None of us brought it in; it was just here. I don't fucking know-"
"Why the fuck is there a big beetle in the changing rooms!" Tubbo yelled, and the three only started arguing even more, "Get it out."
"Why is there a beetle in the changing rooms huh?" Quackity asked, turning to Sam with a raised eyebrow who lifted his arms in an offended manner before pointing at Quackity.
"I don't know. You're the one who rented this place out."
"You're the one who picked it out."
Then there were very loud sighs of relief and even laughter, making the two turn back just as confused as before.
