To say that I got no sleep was an understatement as Silver decided to quite literally sing the song of his people all throughout the night.
I groaned before finally deciding to wake up at 6:00am. I fed Silver one more time before rushing to the shower.
Right as I got there Shadow appeared and we locked eyes.
"Shadow." I growled.
He just rolled his eyes before releasing a loud huff and entering my room to check on Silver. Thank Mobius.
I had just finished my shower and I was making breakfast when the doorbell rang.
"Oh! Hon! I'm here! Will someone please open the door." Rouge called from outside.
"Shadow?" I asked and he situated Silver so that he was in one arm and then went and opened the door with a scowl.
"Oh! My! Goodness! Hi Baby!" Rouge squealed before stealing Silver from Shadow causing the hedgehog to release a loud growl.
"Oh shut up. This is my first time seeing him!" Rouge snapped and then she made goo goo eyes at Silver.
I laughed before putting the pancakes, bacon and sausage on the table.
"He's a first time dad, Rouge. Give him a break." I teased.
Shadow took me seriously though and nodded. "Exactly. This isn't Easy. Now give him back."
Rouge snorted but gave Silver back to Shadow who immediately gently checked him over before walking and sitting down at the table.
I just chuckled before sitting across from him and Rouge took the seat beside me and we all ate.
It was after breakfast now and Shadow had passed Silver to me so that he could talk to Rouge about work things. Which honestly hadn't really occurred to me this whole time. I mean.. Shadow hadn't been to his job in nine months. Was he fired? I frowned.
"Rouge. Look. Tell G.U.N that I was just using my vacation time and that I will be back. Tommorrow. I will be working nights though instead of days." Shadow said as he walked into the room.
"They understand that you were protecting the victim. Your not in trouble, Shadow." Rouge explained.
"Alright. Good. Now that that's handled.." Shadow said as he appeared in the hallway.
"Amy! I'm sure you heard but G.U.N is requesting I get back to work. You're safe now so.." Shadow shuffled his feet.
Guessing what he was going to ask I smiled at him. "Shadow. You've already promised to be a dad and dad's make money. I understand. Also. Since my paycheck from Team Sonic is gone we're going to be needing yours." I told him.
Shadow just nodded and then he tilted his head. "So.. I can stay?"
I stared at him like he was stupid. "OF COURSE YOU CAN! This is your home too Shadow!" I said to him with determination filling my eyes.
Shadow looked away from Rouge with that soft smile again and I was tempted to walk up and hug him but I held back.
Rouge just smiled at us both before nodding to herself. "I'll tell G.U.N about your new living conditions so that they will give you an actual paycheck instead of just your little base thing.
Shadow nodded. "Thanks, Rouge. I will come back to work on friday night.
Rouge just smiled and then she waved at us and left. Clearly she had seen what she wanted to see.
My phone dinged a couple minutes later.
Rouge: Hon. He is head over heels and if I'm being honest. I think you are too.
Amy Rose: Shut up.
Rouge: :)
I rolled my eyes before signing off and groaning. Because Rouge was right.. Me and Shadow were in love. Issue was, was that I had no idea what to do with that information. I frowned.
I guessed I could always just ignore it until it became a real problem but.. No. I was Amy Rose. I was a romantic. I could handle this. I would make a plan. That will probably blow up in my face like it always does but then again.. Shadow wasn't Sonic.. I smirked. Tomorrow. I would ask Shadow if he wanted to go to the park tomorrow. We could hang out. It would be amazing! I'd bring Silver and it would be fantastic. Yes. That was the plan. I'd start off my new mission to get Shadow to be my boyfriend instead of just my housemate tomorrow.
