I woke up to the ultimate feeling of safety as Shadow was now hugging me and his head was above mine and it was perfect. I didn't want to move but unfortunately all perfect things must end and I heard it when Shadow yawned.
"Amy?" He mumbled.
I didn't answer and then I felt a soft pressure on my head before he got up.
I smiled and then Shadow chuckled.
"You know that I know you're awake right?" Shadow told me mischievously
I frowned and opened my eyes to see that Shadow was right in my face.
I squealed before playfully shoving him away. "Jerk!"
"Ah!" Silver shouted as he realized that I was awake and that it meant feeding time.
Shadow just snorted before turning away as I walked over and fed Silver.
Which was precisely when Shadow ruined my good morning.
"So.. When are we saving dumbass?" Shadow asked me.
I groaned. "Uggghh. Don't remind me."
"Well. We have to save him. The public will have a shit fit if their precious hero dies." Shadow said with a roll of his eyes.
"My ass. That's just a facade to hide his true colors." I said with a growl.
"Agreed. But we can't just leave him." Shadow told me with a sigh.
"Let me call Rouge." I told him.
Shadow nodded and I called Rouge.
"Hey! Hon! How's Shadow?" Rouge asked me, her voice filled with concern.
"He was high off his ass but he's fine now." I told her with a chuckle.
"That's good. Not that he was high but that he's fine." Rouge said sounding relieved.
"Yeah. So. Me and Shadow have to go save Sonic. Do you think you could babysit one more time?" I asked her.
"Sonic got caught?" Rouge said in surprise.
"Yeah. We kind of got in a fight." I said awkwardly.
"Hon. What is going on with you and Sonic?" Rouge asked sounding half concerned half annoyed.
"We.. Well.. Sonic started shit." I said not knowing how else to explain it.
"Amy." Rouge said.
"Fine! Sonic is jealous of Shadow okay!? I wish he wasn't because it's no competition. I love Shadow and nothing can change that." I explained.
"Oh." Rouge said.
"Yeah. Sonic's being a dick because he didn't get what he wanted and now it's everyone's problem." Shadow said as he came up behind me.
"Exactly!" I snapped.
"And.. You still want to save his sorry ass?" Rouge questioned.
"We have too. We're heroes Rouge and heroes don't leave people behind." I said matter of factly.
"Alright. Well. I'm on my way. Be careful at eggman's." Rouge said as she hung up.
"Alright. Now.." I said with a mischievous smile before I made a made dash for the shower.
"AMY!" Shadow shouted behind me but I was already at the door and I gave him a little wave before walking inside. Ha!
I had just finished my shower and I had come out and Shadow and Rouge were chatting.
