It was thursday. I had woken up in a fantastic mood. It was the day after Rouge's visit and I was feeling great! I smiled before turning to Silver's Crib.
"Alright Silver! Are you ready for today?" I asked the baby with a smile.
Silver simply gazed at me with curious eyes.
I took that as a yes and I beamed at him before going to the shower and getting dressed in my special occasions outfit for this would be in my mind anyways my first official date with Shadow. I looked at myself in the mirror for a moment as I judged the yellow dress with my golden bracelets and my blue headband which I then switched to a black one. I wasn't chasing after Sonic anymore. This was Shadow and I'd be damned if I didn't look good. I put on some makeup before running back to my room. I didn't want Shadow to see me yet. I grinned to myself before turning to Silver for step two which was to get him dressed.
I slipped a green onesie on him before picking him up and storming outside like a drill sergeant.
"SHADOW! We are going to the Park today!" I shouted eagerly.
I watched as his head poked up from the couch with a glare. It was 5:00am so I had woken him up an hour early but who could blame me? I wanted to watch the sunrise with him.
"Amy why are you awake so damn early?" He groaned.
"Because. I have a plan for today. Now go make yourself pretty. I'm done making myself pretty." I told him while dancing into the kitchen.
I could already feel his suspicion but I ignored it as I got ready to cook. I placed Silver near the sink so he could watch me and he smiled. Today was going to be a good day.
I listened as the shower turned on and then..
"WHY THE HELL IS THE WATER COLD!" Shadow shrieked from the bathroom.
I giggled like a little girl and called back, "BECAUSE! SLOW HEDGEHOGS ARE LOSING HEDGEHOGS!"
"YOU ARE THE WORST!" He whined loudly.
I just rolled my eyes playfully before turning to Silver. "Sore loser am I right?"
Silver smiled again and I nodded to myself before making breakfast.
Shadow came out atleast an hour later and he was looking fabulous as always. Now for the hard part. Not letting him know why I was really doing this. This was a secret mission afterall. It just wouldn't do if Shadow knew I was trying to woo him.
We ate breakfast in silence like usual until..
"So. What are we going to be doing at the park?" Shadow grumbled.
"Showing Silver around the town. I'm thinking we can watch the sunrise and then go to the park and end our da.. day by getting icecream." I said while blushing slightly because shit! This was harder than I thought.
I watched as Shadow's eyes narrowed in suspicion before they cleared and he smirked like an asshole. "Alright. It's a date."
Shit! He knew! Nevermind abort mission!
"Amy. It's fine. I would like to go on this date with you." He said with a shuffle of his feet.
My eyes widened. He still wanted too?
"Really?" I asked tentatively
"Yes. So what do you say? Amy Rose." He said with a smile.
I squealed before jumping into his arms. "OF COURSE! OH! THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!"
Shadow laughed lightly and I let him go before grabbing Silver.
"Come on slow-poke. We have a date to get to." I told him before skipping outside and sitting on my porch.
Shadow followed me and sat beside me. I smiled at him and he put an arm around me and scooted closer and for awhile that was how we sat. Just me and him and the sunrise.
Eventually though all things do end and the sun did rise and so we headed out to the park and started our real date by walking around and looking at the sights.
It was nice honestly. I thoroughly enjoyed just looking around and by the way Silver's eyes kept flickering around I guessed he did too.
It was noon and me and Shadow were eating icecream when I heard a squeal.
"Amy! Oh my goodness! IS THAT YOUR BABY!?" Squealed an excited Cream.
"Oh! Hi Cream! Also yeah it is. Meet Silver." I told her while showing her Silver.
"Oh he is just the cutest!" Cream squealed again which was when Vanilla appeared.
"Aweee Hi sweetie pie." Vanilla said smiling at Silver.
Silver merely gazed at her.
Vanilla just chuckled before looking over to me.
"So what did you name him?" Vanilla asked as she sat on the edge of the bench.
"Silver. It was Platinum's last request." I told the adult rabbit while Shadow scowled beside me.
"Oh. I heard in the news he died." Vanilla said while shooing Cream.
"Yeah. I'm not sad though. Guy raped me after all." I told her with a frown.
Vanilla nodded and changed the subject. "So how's being a mom treating you?"
"Well.. Other than Silver keeping me up all night it's fine. I love Silver." I told her.
"Well. I'm glad. I hope you and Silver and Shadow have a happy life together." Vanilla told me with a smile.
"Me too." I agreed.
Vanilla left after that and Shadow looked over at me.
"You know. If you need the sleep I wouldn't mind sleeping with Silver." Shadow told me earnestly.
I immediately shook my head. "No. Silver needs to feed unfortunately and that's only something I can do."
Shadow sighed and then he stretched. "Well. In that case. What do you think about heading home?"
I nodded and we went home together. It had been a good day and apparently my good luck wasn't over either because Shadow made pasta! Yes!
I beamed at him before digging in and after I finished I gave him a hug goodnight and went to take my shower before going to bed.
