I had called the preschool and told them that Silver was sick.
I still can't believe that they believed me.
But oh well.. That left us here on Angel Island with Knuckles, Silver and Shadow.
I was sitting in a tree and Knuckles was on the top of the master emerald with the scepter and Silver and Shadow were facing off below us.
"Dad. We can talk about this! Look! I won't run off or fight again!" Silver whimpered.
Shadow's answer was to lunge at him and suddenly I couldn't look.
"Seriously?" Shadow barked and I looked over and he was floating and barely twitching inside of a blue glow.
Oh thank goodness.
Knuckles snorted. "Ban him from doing that."
"WHAT! BUT IT'S ONE OF MY POWERS!" Silver yelped.
"Silver.. Put me down." Shadow growled and Silver did.
"How about we make some rules?" Shadow smirked
Silver looked heart broken.
"I won't use chaos spear. I won't chaos control or teleport but! In return! NO psychic powers." Shadow ordered.
Silver nodded and then Shadow lunged at him again.
Silver yipped like a puppy as he was pinned down and Shadow got off him.
"AGAIN!" Shadow said before backing off and performing the same move.
Except Silver dodged this time and Shadow turned around and sent a kick at him.
Knuckles just smirked while watching.
I on the other hand was between emotions. One being horrified and the other being curious.
Silver kept to his dodging and getting hit routine for around five minutes before Shadow got angry.
"Silver! Stop dodging! ARE YOU A WIMP OR ARE YOU A MAN!" Shadow roared before teleporting.
Silver took this chance and used his psychic powers to grab him and toss him into a tree.
Shadow simply got up and shook himself off.
"THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" Shadow roared and I frowned.
Things started getting dangerous after that as Silver tried to use his psychic powers for different abilities and I don't know how I saw it coming but in the end Silver made a huge mistake.
He tossed Shadow and Shadow slammed into Knuckles breaking the scepter and releasing a actual shadow entity who then turned into a blue striped Shadow? What the fuck.
"HAHAHA! I AM FREE!" The offbrand Shadow roared without moving his muzzle. It was really weird. He didn't have a mouth.
Shadow immediately whipped around in shock. "NO!"
"Yes! Say.. I help you.. You help me... Silver.. How do I get back to civilization from here." The offbrand Shadow questioned.
I felt a chill go down my spine. This wasn't right. Whatever this Shadow was..
Silver blinked though. "Meep?"
"It's Mephiles. Small one." The offbrand Shadow answered.
"Chaos Control!" Shadow shouted and appeared behind Mephiles who easily dodged him and turned into some kind of crystal monster hedgehog and slashed Shadow's neck.
Shadow fell to the ground and I having a feeling I wouldn't stand a chance ran up. Grabbed Silver and shot a look to Knuckles and ran.
Behind me Knuckles grabbed Shadow and ran with me.
