- Present Day -
It was one week after I had gotten my powers and mama and dad had officially put little bells on everything.
I mean.. I could get through them still but I didn't want to tell them that and so instead I merely worked on my powers in private.
I smiled. I had also hidden my emerald after running off with it that first day I had my powers.
It was in the laundry room in a weird corner behind the dryer that only I could access due to my powers.
I thought it was pretty neat.
Although I did still feel bad for attacking auntie Rouge.. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to protect what is yours.
I frowned before looking around the room and then I climbed over my crib.
I opened the door with my powers and then I went and got myself some juice after that I went and turned on the tv and quickly turned down the volume. I didn't want to wake up mama and dad.
I groaned though when I realized it was on the news.
Dad must've had the tv last.
I frowned as I watched some story about some guy named eggman.
I mean who names themselves eggman?
What did he even do? Eat eggs all day?
I huffed.
Which was precisely when the emergency broadcast came on.
"Hello! People of Empire City! We have some destructive news! It appears that eggman has released his army upon the city! Why? We're not sure. But we do know that he definitely has some plan in mind." Said a brown slightly chubby owl woman.
I blinked.
Something told me that this wasn't good and so I went out the front door to check and there were robots everywhere.
Time to wake up mama and dad.
I turned around to go get them when I was grabbed.
"You're not going anywhere. Child. You are now under me." Shouted a shrill voice from one of the robots speakers and wow. I really shouldn't of went outside. Apparently I never learned my lesson.
I whimpered as I was put in a compartment inside of said robot and then before I knew it I was asleep.
I woke up in an empty cell.
I looked around but saw nothing. Well nothing except for the blue robot who was patrolling.
I blinked.
"Bwo?" I called fearfully and he turned to me.
"Ah.. You are awake.." He said as he walked up to my cell. His feet clanking against the metal floor.
I nodded and then suddenly I heard a loud snort from the cell behind me. The cell that I hadn't noticed.
"Bringing me freedom already?" A deep voice rumbled.
I turned around to see the coolest monster I've ever seen. I mean yeah he was scary but he was so cool! He was big and purple with horns.
I beamed at him. "Hi!"
"Why are you so small?" The monster asked.
I blinked and then I puffed up.
"I not small!" I snapped at him.
The monster laughed.
"You are the smallest thing I've encountered since getting here!" The monster chuckled.
I just glowered.
Bwo looked between us for a moment before sighing and going back to patrolling. Apparently deciding that our conversation wasn't important enough.
"Say.. What's your name mortal?" The monster asked looking curious.
"Silver!" I shouted with pride.
"Well. Silver. I'm Mephiles. Do you know what would make me really happy?" The monster smiled creepily.
I tilted my head. "Wha?"
"Letting me out of here. I'll let you out after." Mephiles promised.
I frowned. "But there's nothing to use my powers on here?"
Mephiles snorted. "Sure there is. What are your powers, Silver?"
"Umm.. Picking up stuff without touching." I told Mephiles.
"Well then there are plenty of uses for telekinesis. Just ram me through the glass." Mephiles said.
"Do that and I will call the army in here." Bwo snarled.
"DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTAIN ME WITH SOME FOOLISH ARMY!? I AM MEPHILES THE DARK!" The monster suddenly screamed.
I shivered as I had second thoughts but then Mephiles gaze was back on me again and he was smiling once more.
"Release me and I will rescue you. Eh? A save for a save?" Mephiles questioned.
I stared at Bwo for a moment who was glaring at me and then at Mephiles who smiled.
I chose Mephiles.
Atleast I would get out of here with him.
I used my powers to grab him and the alarms went off and then I pulled with all of my mental might.
There was a loud crash from two directions and I hid in the corner of my cell.
I listened as the battle raged with metallic screeches and Mephiles insane roars.
"DO YOU REALLY THINK I AM GOING TO FALL FOR THAT AGAIN!" Mephiles screamed.
And then just as it was getting loud it all went silent.
I finally raised my head and Mephiles was right at my door.
I walked up and stared at him.
"I help you. You help me. What do you say?" Mephiles questioned.
I nodded without really thinking through his words and then he was shattering the glass of my cage and picking me up.
I don't know how long we traveled around the place but eventually we ended up in a special room with a massive computer.
"You wait. I must look for something." Mephiles commanded.
I nodded and watched as he nosed around.
After around five minutes of this he picked me up again and we were off.
"Umm.. Thankyou Meep" I finally muttered as I realized that we were heading to the city.
"I help you. You help me." Mephiles answered simply before placing me infront of my door.
And then he vanished. One moment he was there and the next moment he was gone.
I finally frowned. I wonder what he meant by that.
Oh well. I'm sure it can't be too bad.
After that I opened the door and walked into my home where I got another juice box and went to the sofa to wait or I would've if Rouge didn't come out of nowhere.
"Silver. Hon. Where were you?" She asked with a frown.
I shrugged. "Some place that had Bwo. Oh! And there was a monster named meep!" I said with a huge smile.
"Meep?" Rouge said looking confused.
"Yeah! He saved me but I think I messed up because I agreed to helping him as long as he helped me." I explained with a frown.
"Seriously!" Rouge groaned.
"Sorry?" I said questioningly.
"Just.. Go to your mom's room. I swear." Rouge grumbled before typing on her watch.
I sighed and then went to mom's room to wait on the bed.
