I was madder than a red set hen. How could Silver be so reckless!? Did he know how worried I was!?
I growled while marching around the house.
Shadow had told him that he was going to be missing school tomorrow and that instead.. He was going to learn to fight.
I didn't think that that was a punishment but from Shadow's perspective apparently.. "If you're going to be stupid. You gotta be tough and he's not tough."
I had personally thought that it was a bunch of crap and that if we really wanted to punish him then we wouldn't let him retrieve his emerald.
Shadow had disagreed. "He's just going to do what he wants anyways. The best we can do is prepare him for the consequences."
I had broken down at that point and left him to figure out what to do with Silver himself and well.
I was just so pissed!
I even had my hammer out. I mean I wasn't going to smash anything but I wanted too.
Which of course was when the door opened and I looked over to see Rouge entering.
She appraised me for a moment before sighing.
"Oh. Hon. What's wrong?" Rouge questioned before walking over to my food cabinets.
"Shadow is not actually punishing Silver. I think he needs to be grounded from his chaos emerald but.. Shadow wants to teach him to fight instead." I explained.
"Oh.. I'm sure that will go well." Rouge said with a roll of her eyes.
I nodded and then Rouge found what she was looking for and we had hot chocolate.
I finally sighed. "Thanks. Rouge."
"Anytime, Hon." She smiled.
Just then, Shadow came out and I heard Silver's door slam. Clearly Silver had lost at whatever he was trying to do.
"He was trying to talk himself out of fight training." Shadow explained.
"I would too. You're going to beat his ass." Rouge smirked before sipping her hot chocolate
"Who me? I would never." Shadow smiled.
"Shadow. Don't you dare go too hard on him." I growled.
"Why not? The real world doesn't go easy." Shadow explained.
"He's a child!" I shouted.
"Still. If he's going to be charging into our battles and getting kidnapped and god knows what else then he needs to know how to defend himself." Shadow explained.
I glared. "I'm watching then."
Shadow nodded. "That's okay."
Rouge just shook her head and left.
